e300 td 99 electricle problem
I went to start up the car after I cleared the codes, and I managed to get the door open and the key to turn over but when I tried to start it nothing happened, the check engine light was on so I went and took a multi meter and tested the fuel shutoff, the starter, and the the starter relay and I am getting 0.5 volts at all those. I checked the battery and It was fully charged, so I took another battery and jumped the car and took a switch and wired it to the battery and the purple wire going to the starter and attempted to start it and It just wouldn't start, it would make alot of smoke but wouldn't start so I jumped the fuel shutoff and tried but nothing so right now I have a suspicious feeling that the rack in the injection pump is at off position because it too may very likely have 0.5 volts as well so I think the K40 relay is bad or the module itself but can anyone tell me if I have anything else to check before I replace the K40
