Second find another dealer.
I have one on order. I’d walk if they pull this **** on me. Our second car is a Tesla, while the quality is crap, I can tell you the experience of buying without a dealer is top notch. Couldn’t believe how painless the entire process was and still is when servicing is needed.

It's BS... they're just trying to scam as much money from you as possible. Think about it... why does the fact that there's not a lot of these cars out there increase the cost of the car??? It's not like the car magically cost the dealer $5,000 to obtain because there's not a lot of them on the road. They are just trying to hustle you.

As others mentioned, don't pay a market adjustment, we might be entering a recession (depending on where you are from) and if not even so won't be long and dealerships will bend over begging us to buy cars sooner or later. I don't understand why these dealerships only care about the short term gains and to lose a long term customer.
