HG Motorsports would like to share with you our progress on delivering true ECU reflashes for the Mercedes-Benz CLAs. We have broken through the various layers of security in our CLA45 AMG and have full control of the engine computer. We dyno tested the car on D Sport Magazine's Dynojet in Fountain Valley and Doug's Dyno's Mustang Dyno near Las Vegas while we were out there for SEMA. The numbers quoted in the video above are preliminary, we have not finalized our tune and final numbers will vary. As of now, we have seen consistent gains of around 70 horsepower at the wheels over stock. We were also able to eliminate early throttle closure which robs power in the last 500RPM of the rev band, now the car pulls hard right up to the limiter at 6,500RPM.

At this time, we are not at a point where we would feel comfortable selling this tune, there is a lot of testing and fine tuning that we want to do in order to ensure optimal driveability and smoothness along with the highest possible level of reliability but we wanted to share our progress with the community.

We flashed an early version of the tune onto our car around midnight on Friday after SEMA and drove straight to Las Vegas Motor Speedway to compete in the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational on Saturday and Sunday where our lightly-modified CLA45 did extremely well against very serious competition.

Official gains are 50HP at the crank throughout a very wide and usable power band. The attached dyno sheet is from Infamous Performance where we sent our CLA45 for independent, back-to-back testing of a stock tune vs. the Jailbreak tune on a stock CLA45 with no hardware changes between runs. After months of testing this tune on the street and at the track since November 2014, we know that it performs consistently in any conditions we've encountered so far.

CLA250 tune results are in! The car is simply transformed with the additional torque. It is much easier to accelerate in-gear without needing to downshift, a big plus when the E mode programs the transmission to upshift into very high gears as soon as possible. We've taken a few CLA owners for rides in our tuned CLAs and they've all been shocked by the improvement.
