A160 Centre Console Remove Please Help!!!
Hi everyone.
Wife's car recently had the dreaded F mode occur and now engine warning light is on. Paid to get code scanned and sure enough it is the gearbox selector module. I have done all the steps to remove the rear centre console disconnected all the connectors and removed the screws at the front and rear and removed the handbrake lever cover. The last part of the instructions from the manual states:
"Move center console at rear upward over the handbrake level and remove"
If I try to do this there is not enough clearance between the front seats to lift it up it snags on the seat recliner knobs on each side. There is no room to go forward either. I've tried moving both seats forward or one back and the other forward and vice versa but cannot see how to do it.
