If anyone in the USA wants the hatch, consider buying from Canada as those vehicles would be legal in the US. A further advantage is that MB has not fully adjusted the pricing to account for exchange rate, so Canadian MBs would be significantly cheaper.

How about the warranty and registration? Would it be valid?

Also, the border is still closed between our two countries, so you can't even come up to buy your hatch, you will be turned away by the Canadian border guards.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I seriously doubt that a Canadian car would be legal in the U.S. For starters, it would need to be federalized concerning emissions equipment and speedometer in miles per hour instead of kilometres. That would be very expensive. Looks like the closest thing the U.S.ever got to the A class hatchback was the first generation GLA which is too bad imho.

Well, no.
My American boss (temporarily in Canada) easily took his E class back to the US several years ago. He also took back a Chev Suburban that cost him $10,000 less in Canada.
Emissions standards in Canada are coordinated with the US.
Changing from kilometres to miles is a simple setting in Mbux.
Coming the other way the only real issue is the Canadian requirement for daytime running lights.
Warranty can be an issue and should be considered.
There are companies that deal with all the issues of Canada-US car imports (either direction). In some years exchange rates favor buying in the US. Right now they favor buying in Canada.
