FS: Modded 1999 CLK430
Well fellas, I just got engaged and will be married on July 16th this year. However, I just found out that her parents are flaking out on the wedding and not paying a dime, let alone even coming! Long story, but expected from them. So, I can’t put the full burden on my parents, so I have to make some sacrifices and make my soon to be wife happy. Having her parents not come or help out is one thing, so it's the best option I have now. Anyway, here she is:
1999 CLK 430 with 69,000 Miles
Black on grey leather with wood trim.
Upgrades/Modifications
-18X8/18X9 Carlsson 2/5 Evolution Brilliants (Excellent condition)
-New Pirelli PZero Nero (95% Tread left front and rear) 225/40/Z18 & 255/35/Z18
-HR Sport Springs/Bilstein Shocks with #1 Spring Pads(Front) & #3 Spring Pads (Rear)
-K-Mac Front and Rear Camber Kits from Australia
-Lorinser Roof & Rear Spoiler
-ML55 HID/Xenon headlights with Philips 4300K D2R Bulbs
-Sylvania Silver Star Foglights
-CLK55 AMG Intake box with K&N air filters
-Painted factory black side reflectors/Clear amber turn bulbs
-Removed Resonator (have resonator with me)
-25% tint all around
-Blacked out chrome trim
-V8 Badges from the G-Wagon
-Flat hood symbol (have regular Mercedes hood emblem as well)
Recent Services:
Transmission Fluid Change
MAF Sensor Replacement
Harmonic Balancer Recall work completed
Mobil 1 0W40 every 4K miles
The paint is as smooth as glass. I’ve been getting compliments on it and questions from people asking if this a 2004 or 2005 model. Absolutely no rust, I guarantee it. There are no dings or dents and the interior is immaculate. Yes, I’m that guy who parks really far all the time and has relationship problems because I spend too much time taking care of my car. ha ha I’ve put over $1200 extra of suspension work into the car to make this car ride straight and smooth like a Mercedes should, while being lowered. Believe me, this car turns heads for being a ‘99.
I’ve put a lot of work, pride and care into this car because I hadn’t planned on selling it, but I think it’s the right thing to do for now. Maybe the M5 that I want later this year will make me stop missing it if I do sell it.
KBB Private Party value is $21,660 and retail value is $25,995.
I’m not in a hurry to sell (kinda hoping a miracle will happen so I don’t have to ) but if I get someone who appreciates it, then I will sell her. With my modifications, I am looking for $25,500 or best offer, which I think is resonable.
And no, I am not parting it out, sorry fellas. Please feel free to email/pm/reply to this thread with any question.

Ahh sucks that you have to let it go..I'm also thinking of getting rid of mine but I doubt I'll get the cash for what it's worth. Good luck on the sale and the wedding

Thanks for the nice words fellas.
And MMGRAD, that statement is so true. But try explaining it to her. I'm happy just going to the courthouse and BAM, married. Women....logic escapes them, and they pull us down with them.

Why don't you make it "hercedes benz" instead of selling it? (But only if they're her footprints man!)
kidding aside - yours and mmgrad's are among my favorite rides on this forum - you could be twins - but life's long and when our cars stop turning heads lets all hope that we have other more permanent things in our lives.
Final wisdom - keep the car at all costs.

Well, I got two offers. One from my older brother and one from a guy at work.
Here is the dilema. Either of them know nothing about cars, but have the money and just want a head turner for a car.
All of a sudden I am getting cold feet.....the car needs to have an owner who knows, undertstands and apreciates it.
Cold feet on something so easy as selling a car. What about marriage? Oh boy...

Out Of Control!!
If they are giving you a good offer, sell it! And then sell mine to the other person!!!!!! After the marriage you will have 2 incomes instead of one (more money) and you can tell your wife, "Remember when I sold my car for the wedding? I think now its time for a ___55" (fill in the blank)

LOL, we'll see. But I can't be seeing it in the parking lot parked close enough to get a door ding at the same place I work!
We'll see. And (don't flame me for this) but she's moved in and we already combined bank accounts. But she's going to school, has a car, has a cell phone, Invisalign expenses....aye, I can't wait until she makes good money.
So you're right...but CLK55 or M5 is on it's way the minute she graduates and get's that job this fall.

Just kidding. KBB Private Party value is $21,660 and retail value is $25,995 as stated above in the ad.
I have about $8K worth of mods in her, including parts and labor. I'll eventually part her out and drop the price, but for now, if someone appreciates the work done and value, then buy away!

Friend, get that guy on the phone....
and see if he will wire transfer the money, or hand you the cash or certified check before he wakes up. I'm sure it's much nicer than the average bear. And I'm sure you've spent a ton on mods. But it's still a 99 CLK with almost 70k miles. Please keep in mind that these price guides are just that....GUIDES...and they don't write checks or have any money. In today's tough marketplace, finding that special buyer just doesn't come along that often. It's your money, but, jeez, I'd hook up.

damn it... do me some justice and sell me your K-Mac kit... the new owner will care less
I'm like your CLK brotha here... I'm even working on the footprints on the ceiling... and while you taking it apart, hook me up with the AMG intake....
both items are pretty easy to reinstall the factory parts...
