Hey, it's your car, do whatever you wish..
If you want to impress girls, *****, and ho's, then the badge change will suffice. Hell, you could probably debadge the car and tell them its a custom E60 made by AMG, limited edition, only 2 in the whole world, and the other is owned by the prince of some middle eastern country
However, if you want to impress other benz aficionados, they'll spot the fake badging in a heart beat.
To each their own.
