Well its been almost 3 months now since I overnighted $400 to Jimmy. And its been more than enought time since his "vacation" as the "Godfather" mentioned in a previous post.
Someone pm'ed me that he "left the states" and never to return. So there goes my money. For those who got their stuff....feel very fortunate.
I actually talked to him the day before he was going to send the money back. We agreed that sending the money back would be best...since he said he cant find a place to shipped them out. That was the last conversation...phone disconnected....emails not returned.....pms unanswered....last I check, the World Wide Web is international, so you should be able to access it from anywhere....esp if you know you owe someone some money.....that is if your a person of honor and morals......a much rare quality these days....
Lessoned learned...never buy anything on this forum or the internet for that matter with a money order.....if they dont take paypal....just move on.....even if they have sold stuff to other pple with good results .... as in my case. Since other pple in the forum got their stuff...I thought I was safe...but I thought wrong

Buying from a forum regardless if someone has paypal is a risk in itself. Ebay would probably be your best bet especially if the seller has a high feedback with no negatives about items not being shipped. Definitely a lesson learned.

Not to hijack the thread, but since G had initially mentioned that the seller had gone to the PI, I mentioned that balut thing.I am not filipino, but I have a lot of filipino friends and I have eaten balut before. It was not meant in a derogatory way towards filipinos. =) It was meant, however, to wish the seller bad luck or harm. I know, that's bad of me, but he deserves it.

as for balut, one of my ex gf was chinese from the philipines...had a lot of stuff and balut was not one of them...

Ebay, paypal, it really doesn't matter. Pay by credit card that has protection against online theft.
I'm a Private Investigator and recently got burned on an ebay/paypal purchase. I screened this guy up and down, talked to *somebody* on the phone, verified phone number, social security number to person/address, it all came back as authentic.
Authnetic it was - for somebody else's identity! Apparently stolen by some ring operating out of the Ukraine. These guys were good, real good.
Under paypal I'm protected ($300), but another person I warned before he paid this scammer wasn't so fortunate - he's out $2800.

dayam....sucks $2800...good tip man ....just buy locally if you can too .....thanks to bruce..i finally have my RS kit....picked it up from LBC in person, cash in hand...everyone was happy...no thanks to Jimmy Rianto....I am out $400 .....

glad you got ur brembos...your deal actually made me trust him, since you got ur stuf....i thought i was gonna get my money back...we talked quite a few times ...and the last conversation was "im gonna send ur money back since no one will ship this bumper"......then weeks went by...and nothing.... then when i called...everything was disconnected or "not recieving incoming calls".....plenty of good pple on the forum...unfortuanately good pple run in to scammers all the time.....gonna stick to local deals from now on...
p.s hey lisa...theres a mb photoshot at pasadena on the 17th...since you wanted to come out to some mb meets...heres your chance at one....if your not working that is....let me know ....and get ur rims already!!!! no more delays!!
