1993 500e for sale pearl blk/blk great contition,new timing chain, tentioner and rails, k&n filters, powerchip, new rebuilt transmission with first gear start (valve body mod), 19" amg staggered amg 5 spoke wheels, h&r springs, bilstein shocks, stoptech big brake kit silver calipers, stainless steel brake lines, all new exterior lighting, alpine c/d w/mp3 player, infinity speakers w/custom box,. one of the nicest car around must sell

BTW, AFAIK the V8 powered W124s, aka 400E/E420 and 500E/E500, don't require a valve body mod to start in first.

Brad is located in Yorba Linda, CA. His asking price was $26,000 last time I emailed him a few months ago. Mileage is 160,000.
IMHO, the price is high for the mileage, but good luck w the sale.

teh E500/500E start in 2nd. and you need a valve body for 1st.

Its a great car but $26K for 1993, i cant sell mine for $22K with lots of mods and its a 99 E430 with Kleemann blower, anyway great car good luck with the sale.

500E Signal Rot
All 500e's start in 2nd by design, you don't need a valve body modification for it to start in 1st gear though. Several options exist, modified valve body, W126 1st gear start relay (don't know how to implement this though) or a another 1st start electronic module like the Bergwerks. The 400e/E420 actually is a 2nd gear start vehicle, but MB designed it with a 1st gear start relay, which is controlled by one of the computers. Based on rpm's, the computer triggers the relay which in turns sends a signal the kickdown switch, downshifting the car into 1st gear.

1993 500e pearl blk/blk, second owner by former service advisor @ MB, only 20,000 miles in last 7 years, serviced by dealer since new w/syn oil only, new timing chain, tentioner, rails, runs perfect. chipped, k&n air filters, AMG staggered 19" wheels, new shocks, springs, new rebuilt trans, all new exterior lighting with clear side markers and silver bulbs, smoked taillamp lenses, alpine c/d w/mp3 infinity speakers with custom box w/two 10's.

Unfortunately, I think he will get between 15k-16k for it due to the high mileage.
Brad Johnson, if you are reading this, I would try to strip the "upgrades" to recoupe your funds then sell the car as close to stock as possible.

that would strip the whole car...
i've worked for mb and that not alot of milage for that engine even though it sounds like it. Even if i stripped all tha mod's off it who would you sell them too.

I don't mean to undermine your sale. Your car is AWESOME, but just priced high, and if you need to sell it by friday, you might be stuck in a pickle.
