68k sounds in the ballpark. I sold my 04 black on black E55 (90k sticker) for 60k with 30,000 miles on it a couple months back.

LOL. You are such a cutie pie. Oh yes, i am so jealous of you. Oh yes. Poor me. You sure you bought that thing new? I am almost positive it IS my used one!! HAHA!! what a whack. If it was a great deal, ANY MB delaership would snap it up. I drew first blood? How was that? By calling bs on your claim of great price at full retail?
Yes I did say POS, not to '05 E55s, but to yours. Keep your little bra. By the way, mine has 3000 miles on it just for your record and at least 5 people on this board see it on a weekly basis. Troll on. This isn't autotrader.com

Take your poll and see how many wanna call BS on me. I'll let the racial hate go as you are clearly a low life. I thought I already told you i don't buy used. Put 2 and 2 together, that means I can only buy at MB dealers.

You get what you deserve in life, so why not come back and post a lie about how you sold it for much much more? End of the week is coming. Spread the word, ok??

I am the one and only. Same old Jangy the typical Persian. Educated and loving life with my family!! I do wish I could buy that POS (and yes it does stand for Full of ****), but my back yard dealership isn't exactly up to par.

Hey BUTCHEN, your used car lot not doing well? You Talk trash about me being a slimey salesman (not that I sell a thing or am even affiliated with any dealerships) and yet you are the funk that is trying to dump cars left and right on this site alone? You ever sell your crappy S class? Nope? Hmmmm, for such great deals you aren't doing so well. At this point, I wonder if you aren't just trying to unload an E320 badged as an AMG?

You guys need to take it down a notch. This is supposed to be a civilized and informative board of enthusiasts. A place where we can offer feedback, help, and suggestions to each other. Jangy's feedback may not have been to your liking, and you might not agree, but your words and tone in response will certainly not help you sell a car here on this board. You might have tried something like, "hmmm, I really thought my price was good. Can you point me to a couple of examples of similar cars with a lesser price?" I imagine that exchage doesn't represent either of you very well, so let's try to move on to a more informed discussion of the topic.

B- have a look at ebay, autotrader, and cars.com, and maybe see if anyone on the board has access to a Manheim account for auction values (though auction prices don't mean much anymore since so many private parties purchase cars there). The price you offered is fine, but it's not spectacular. There are always cars out there that someone traded in, got killed on the trade, and now the dealer has immense flexibility with their price. As a private party, you simply can't compete with those insane deals, and your price will never be a "steal" unless you're selling it for trade-in value just to keep the dealer from getting the satisfaction. Just as an example, my friend traded in her CLS500 and got $62k for it. The dealer turned around asking$73k. The car stayed on the lot for 65 days, and it he wound up selling it for 60.5...a decent loss, just to free up money to purchase more inventory that will move more quickly. No private party sale (or dealer sale) that I saw on any of the car sites was even close to that price, and someone walked away with a true steal.

So, when someone tells you that there are other similar '05 E55s to be had for less, it's probably true. You just need to be fair with yourself and the buyer and I think your price is. High-end luxury cars are selling like high end homes right now. The depreciation is far beyond expectations. I just saw an '06 S55with a window sticker of $134k sell for $81k and it had 11k miles in mint condition. We see the S65's depreciating to almost half their value in less than a year. Plus you have the E63 waiting in the wings. The only thing KBB is good for is getting a big paycheck if your car is stolen or totaled. Outside of that, it's an EXTREMELY rough starting point for pricing, especially on high-end luxury vehicles. The KBB price is invariably far in excess of actual market value. KBB and Carfax...two biggest scams in the auto industry.

Here are two clips from cars.com. No idea of the condition of these cars and I haven't seen them, but they are selling for quite a bit less than yours. Just to serve as example that they can be had for less. Don't get turned off by that...you're not trying to be the cheapest guy in town...just a fair guy.

I can hook anyone up with Any Daimler Chrysler. Just ask 2K6E55. Get your best price and let me know about it and I'll get it beat. If you are even considering this ragged out one, I can easily get you one that may not have the magic bra, but will be CPOd.

Now that i am done with my jabs at the hole, here is some real advice. Many people were able to take advantage of the lease specials MBUSA gave on the E55s not long ago. If you like used, there are plenty of those leases that you can assume and the monthly payments on LOADED ones (i.e. sticker well over $90K, NOT $86) is about $1100. The only catch is that you need excellent credit, but that is it.

Good luck

Thumbs down Jangy: make an offer or STFU

Look dude, I don't give a crap what you sell it for. i'm noyt a buyer of used cars. I was simply telling you the truth on the market in SoCal, which i do have quite a handle on. I am persian afterall, so half of my cousins work at some dealership or another. You really want to ask me for facts? Let's go.

Now, that I gave you your answers, how many offers have you had? NONE!! Talk is cheap and your used POS is even cheaper.
Calling someone's car a POS is ludicrous. Yours may be the POS since we cannot see it, please learn how to spell if you want to carry on an inteligent conversation! Maybe your problem is all your car washing friends at these dealerships giving you bad advice, so STFU

Hmmmm, ok now when did we get personal? I'm gonna let you slide this time with the STFU. By the way, I don't wash my car, so no buddies there. I never claimed my "buddies" were rollers. Life is what it is. You got your hooks and I got mine. Clearly we won't be sharing them with eachother, but those that know me get plenty of love.

$3500 down and $1100 per month on a $92+ sticker. For $400 extra a month, I'd consider paying it off and getting a better rate.

u serious?

i'm about to buy a 2003 E55 with CPO until 2008 and extended warranty to 2010. Has everything except Navi and Pano.

It has keyless go, activated seats, partronic, blue seat inserts, Bixenon & washers, and Beltronix radar and laser jammer

for $53xxx. My payment will around the same as a new 2006?

2003 will have service included for only so long and the 06 (no service)

warranty will end up about the same 2010

man... Jangy you just made my night a much tougher one.

I only buy new. Why buy the second half on anything? Yes, you'll pay a slight premium to be the first to stick it in her, but I'm not much for sloppy seconds.
