FS 2005 E55 Mint $58,600
2005 E55
$58,600

After waiting 3 weeks for buyer to complete deal he backed out due to lack of financing. He lost his deposit for this reason and now I can now reduce the bottom line price for the car accordingly. Now you have the chance to pick up this great car at an even better bottom line price. I’ve decided to post a non-negotiable bottom line. For those looking for a pampered, adult owned, never raced or modified, non-smoker E55, this is undoubtedly the best car you will find. I am so confident that any buyer will be thrilled with his purchase, I will hold the vehicle for 1 week after receiving a $1000 cash or certified check deposit. This will allow the purchaser to physically examine the car or have it examined if he wishes. If not completely satisfied and does not want to complete the purchase, I will completely refund the deposit. I am willing to arrange transportation to and from Tucson airport for any interested parties.

You guys are stupid if you don't buy this car due to what the title says. This case is a little different, but anyways I wouldn't think twice about a car who has had multiple owners. Don't buy a car thinking about resell already, live a little...
Yeah seriously. This is shopping for a car NOT a wife.
Looks like a great deal and good luck with the sale.
To Bill P.
I lost your email address. Please PM me here if you can. Yes the clear bra is removable if you wish. No there has been any paint work of any kind.
Thanks and happy holidays.

That's not my house. That's where the treasure is burried. Car is gone. Now on the lot of Tucson Mercedes. Sorry for all you folks who waited for a better deal that could not have happened.

I had the chance to trade it in for the same price when I was buying my truck at another dealership. Since the car was "sold" with a deposit, I did not trade it in and had to pay the sales tax. After the 55 deal went south I was stuck with both the truck and the car. I ended up just selling it to the dealer. After I sign all the transfer papers and remove the plates, I get a call from home that someone from CA wants the car. Now I'm stuck. I just had to get screwed just one more time in the life of this 55.
it's been on autotrader and cars.com for about 2 months. Ebay before that. Summary: Many dreamers, few with money.

I'm in the process of cancelling / getting someone to assume my lease on my SL...if I'm able to make that work, I'll definately be interested, in the mean time someone in their right mind would seriously want to consider this car...one more thing, where are you located? the car has NY plates but maybe its me but that doesnt look like new york in the pictures haha

So, is it gone, or you still have it? Anyway, Good luck with it Glenn, its a gorgeous car...
No it's gone. I took a bath and someone with money who was looking for a great car lost out. I have found out a very important fact. Many people on this forum really have a great interest in these cars but not the financing to buy one. I don’t fault this, I just had higher expectations. I still want to know who if anybody is buying these cars listed at 8-10k more than mine was listed for. There is no way their cars could have been in better condition. The corporate sales manager was very, very impressed with my car but said the auction prices are way down and could not offer me more. Moral of the story, never buy a MB with ANY expectations of resale price or ease. Like the housing market it is now and will be a buyers market for sometime to come.
Glenn, I was seriously considering it, but the issue would have been permission, not financing. If I did pursue it, the cost would have been quite a bit higher (after the divorce settled, ha ha).
There was a private dealer in East Brunswick specializing in late-model high end models that would have snapped it up for a better price than what you got, although that's no consolation now.
I knew a guy who had a used lot in Florida who sold many cars on Ebay. He commented a number of times that Ebay is only good for the low end market under 10k or so. Well-used 1996 BMWs and such.

Sorry, I hope you don't think I was addressing the financing issues at you. I was not. As far as permission, I understand. I wish my wife didn't give me permission when I was going to buy the car in the first place. I had 4 others at the time and really didn't "need" this one. Just sat in the garage for most of its life with me.

Sorry to hear about your bath...the market is worthless right now for a seller. The largest culpret is MB itself for discounting their new cars as much as they are, thus destroying any hope of retaining resale values. Imagine if you were one of the unlucky few who paid $180k for an S65 and turned around only to find dealers selling them new for $120k.
I think that there are tons of people who can afford the cars, but most are having difficulty taking the plunge because they see how fast these cars are depreciating. I have friends right now doing the same song and dance with different sellers...working down the price, and with each lower offer they're thinking "man, if they're willing to go that low, how much of a bath am I going to take when I go to sell it? Maybe if I wait until '07 chimes in, it'll take even MORE of a dip, and then I won't get hurt so bad when I need to unload it." I got just as many tire kickers when I sold my 328i and 330i as I did when I sold my M5. I'm sure when I sell the S55 it'll have more shoe leather than rubber left on it.
For what it's worth, you got the very expensive privilege of driving what was/is one of the most amazing sedans on the planet.
