sorry - i have front and rear shocks and springs. Didn't want to mislead by saying "suspension" which may include control arms, etc.

THATS WHAT I NEED SHOCKS AND SPRINGS, I installed a h&r sports suspension last month and when I have two passengers in the back seat I get rubbing. Like a dumb *** I trashed the old suspension. You will take 200 shipped to St. Petersburg Fl yes? Let me check to see if it will fit a 2002 C240 FIRST OKAY.

Are you using the #4 pads? When my H&R install left the rear too low, some calls to their US tech department netted a gratis pair of taller rear springs.

PM me, if interested, for contact details etc...

yes, #4 and it seems to be to low I have 9" 19 rears. When I go over a bumb I get a very short rub. Not on the metal however on the inner wheel well, the felt linning. I'm considering flaring out the fender well 3/8 of an inch but I think it will be cheeper to install the OEM suspension on the rear. I wonder if there is a larger aftermarket pad? What would be ideal is to raise the rear up 3/8 of an inch. The width is fine. This way when the suspension travels it will have room to work. You gave me an idea, I may call H&R Monday and see if I can purchase a pair of rear springs that are 3/8 of an inch taller that will work with the sport suspension shock.

Let me know what you find out either way. The rears are ready to go and only have about 13,000 miles as I went to C/Os. If you need/want the fronts, I'd let them go for real cheap and just put them in the box. Let me check on shipping to St. Pete tonight.

thank you, I'm going to contact H&R first. I want to make sure I get this correct this time around. This has been a costly mistake.

Well i've got the rear springs if that helps, from a 2005 c230 sport. Should be pretty much the same, except a tad bit shorter.

H&R was no help at all, bacically said thats the springs for your car. So what I think will work is OEM rear springs and shocks with a #1 pad.

So if anyone has C240 rear springs I'll buy them.

I just purchased a set of rear springs from Ryan317. I'm hoping the C230 spring will raise the rear of my car 1/4 " but more importantly be stiffer. The h&r springs are to soft when I have passengers in the back seat.

Try putting a spring pad on the bottom too. That will raise the back enuf, depending on pad you use. I put Eibachs on my 230 & was getting a squeaking sound. Put pads on the bottom and it solved problem. Also raised rear a bit

Thank you, I did not know you could do that, really all I need is 3/8" lift. so from what I have found:
#1 pad 8mm = 5/16 inch
#2 pad 13mm = 1/2 inch
#3 pad 18mm = 3/4 inch
#4 pad 23mm= 1 inch

I'll just put a #1 pad on the botton and this just could be a fix.

I'm puzzeled I just ordered a par of 9mm spring pads and the parts department asked me why I was ordering another pair of pads. I told him I needed to raise my rear suspension up 1/4 inch and to do so I was going to put the 9mm pads on the bottom of the springs. He said that he does not believe you can do this. I understand you did, however do you need to modify the pad in any way?
respectfully

I put #2 pads at the bottom and they werent modified at all. Just slipped rite in. Monday, I'm taking them out and putting #1's cause the rear is still too high. The parts guy at my dealer didnt say I couldnt do this when I explained what I was doing.
