FS: 1994 E420. A great example of W124
1994 Mercedes Benz E420. 123,000 miles. White exterior with grey leather interior.
I am the second owner car of the car and it has been perfect in all aspects. Mechanically, the car is in great shape with no major issues. Brakes and service recently completed. Cosmetically, the paint is very shiny and well cared for and no major wear visible on the interior surfaces. Small chip on front windshield.
This car is a solid 8.5 out of 10 for its age. Don't miss out on a beautiful and well maintained W124. Pictures available on request and will post them this weekend. Car is located in Orange County area of Southern California.
$7200 OBO

I am very interested but would like to find out if the high mileage maintenance/common problems on W124s have been completed:
1) wire harness
2) head gasket
3) transmission service/rebuild
4) a/c service or evaporator replaced
I am located in Norcal but willing to travel for the right car. You can email me at gjreyes13@gmail.com. Thank you.

In the spirit of disclosure, here are comments on some of the common concerns for these vehicles.
1) Wire harness -- is still original but is not causing any problems. It appears to be in decent shape.
2) Head gasket -- to my knowledge head gasket issues were prevalent on the I6 engines not on the V8 models. The vehicle does not have any issues with oil in the coolant or oil leakage in general.
3) Transmission service/rebuild -- transmission has not had any major work done besides routine maintenance. Recently, the check engine light was on due to the actuator that holds second gear during the initial start and was replaced.
4) A/C – Service has been performed on the A/C and it blows cold with no signs of evaporator problems as common on these vehicles.
During my two years with the car only routine maintence and the issue with actuator have arisen. The car drives much nicer than many newer cars that I have ridden in. A real gem.
