To all fellow mb members,
I've purchased a set of Remus Twin Turbo Exhaust from "SETSEROCK" eBay ID: v_dub_gurl11 on September 19th 2007. This scum bag told me TWICE that he sent my exhaust out, but fails to provide a tracking number, as promised in his previous emails. I've tried several attempts in communicating with this guy, but he ignores my emails. I'm writing this to get all you people here aware of these scammers. Even though he has over a thousand feedbacks, it doesn't mean anything. File with paypal is on the way.

Yea, for sure I will.. I actually needed the exhaust in order to complete my stage 1 project, but this scammer just ruined it. Now I have to order directly from Remus. Lucky I paid through paypal, hope they can help me get my money back and get this scum bag.

He and His GF claims to have my item shipped TWICE! 1st time was with USPS and now with FEDEX. They said they left the tracking number in the car and will provide it to me the next day.. But 3 days has pasted and no communications what so ever. BS me all the way.. My rims are here next tuesday and they are shipping from NYC too.

He does have over 1K feedback. HOWEVER, you should have look at the details of his feedbacks. 11 neutrals within the last 6-12months AND 3-6 negatives within 6-12 months. If you read several of the feedbacks, you see others wrote how slow shipping was, dented products, and NO COMMUNICATION! This should have been a RED flag already with doubts of purchasing from this seller.

Thank you for your kind words and I've read his feedbacks regarding the rate of his shipping and his low level communication skills. However, aware that he is a power seller with over 1k of feedbacks only 8 negatives, I thought this guy is believeable. But I was wrong. 1k powerseller is still a scammer! And I want to put a red flag here to tell all mb members to beware of SETSEROCK.

Thanks for the heads up. Hate when I see posts like this with myself being a powerseller and all. There's nothing more important then communication and that both ends get the best possible outcome from the deal. As you can see from there feedback as NO_WUR_E said, it seems like they're going on a downhill slope, and if they keep up this trend, their powerseller status should be revoked fairly soon. Yes, apparantly, it was the girl who told me TWICE! that the item was shipped. Both without tracking number, and both was different courier. One was with UPS, the other was with FedEx. This is what she said in her last email 4 days ago.

dude...calm down, everything is ok. breath deeply...and exhale...why are you freaking out on me? first off, you took FOREVER to pay and make a bunch of stipulations, like setting up a private ebay auction, removing the 'buy it now' requirement on the auction, etc..so i jump through all your hoops and you thank me by taking FOREVER to pay and then keyboard-lashing me b/c you're having a bad day or something? your item was shipped yesterday via fed ex international ground. international air was a minimum of $125, so i dont think you would have been willing to hand over an additional $100 for shipping. i don't have the tracking info handy, it's in my bf's car. i'll give it to you when i get it.

Suppose to go through???? I paid them already. The transaction is suppose to have GONE THROUGH already. They made no communications, no tracking number, nothing. I sent them a final email stating that if they do not contact me by Sept. 27th 2007 Thursday (Yesterday) I will file with paypal. I still haven't filed with paypal yet because I want to give them a second chance. But nothing.. They are scammers!

No problem NO WUR E. I just don't want any more victims. And Remus. Thank you very much for helping me out. I appreciate it. I'll probably be ordering the Twin Turbo Exhaust from you, since I urgently need it to finish my first project. Currently my car has AMG rear bumper with a OEM exhaust (so.. you can only see the hole where the muffler is suppose to come out, but there's no muffler) And it looks terrible.. I will post some pics in a second, you all will know what I'm talking about.

SETSEROCK is definitely a scammer. Left an "OUT OF SERVICE" phone number with paypal, so I can't reach him. What a SCUM BAG! Everyone watch out for this girl or guy. Powersellers don't mean a thing! His ebay ID: v_dub_gurl11. WATCH OUT!!!

guys, how can we make this a sticky? cos i want everyone to see this thread and beware of this scammer in the future. given that he has over 1k of feedbacks and is a powerseller. It will be a piece of cake for them to set traps. please advise fellow mb members.

v_dub_gurl11 bought a VW on 9/24. Maybe you can contact the seller to get his/her address. 
is your paypal linked to your credit card or checking account. if by credit card, you can contact your credit card company to file a claim regarding your transaction.

I work for a credit card processing company, and you can charge back about everything--- no questions asked---the credit card companies will then do the research on this and find no tracking number or proof of you recieving the product---with paypal though it is more of a cash advance but still should

Thanks for your post. To be honest, paypal is useless. They don't have the authority to do a charge back. If the recipient withdraws all his money within the time frame, then even tho the dispute went through I will have no money, but the recipient's account suspended. SUSPENDED? Then he can just open another one and scam other people's money...
As for Visa, no doubt they can help me get my money back, but with a waiting period of 2 months, which its a little bit long. But I guess its better than nothing.
