i messaged you to ask why there are so many scratches on the screen for a command that was in your car for only 3 months...you have not responded. funny when in the process of you selling it you were in contact with me on a daily basis. just curious...now that you got my money...does this unit really work? cause definitely...your interpretation of "mint" and mine differ. gonna get an expert to check it out

hello, another guy here wants to buy the command from me. ill tell you the same thing...if i can fix the scratches ill probably keep it.

i emailed mbdoctor, he says the screen can be replaced. its made by sharp and is about $600. this is a bit more than i want to spend for fixing it. there are other avenues that im looking into atm.

i feel the seller MISREPRESENTED the condition of his command when he advertised it here. mint to me means perfect...not full of scratches. i may have bought it anyway...but that isnt the point...i think a product should be described to the letter. i also understand things such as a condition of an item may be subjective...but please..gimme a break...how can you consider this command mint? its this kind of misrepresentation which makes me question if this unit even works. you sure it came out of your car and not someone elses car?

broken, drop me a msg with your email address and ill try to get you some pictures. i dont know how they going to turn out. keep in mind...its only for sale if i cannot get these scratches out.

btw...the guy who sold me this command...at least explain yourself

in my opinion there is no way this command was in a brand new car for only 3 months...its as if the screen was mistaken for a touch screen...thats how badly scratched up it is

anyway in the end...i consider this my fault as i try to cheap out. i was supposed to buy a euro command from steve. i should have stuck with that but he only comes to the ny area once a yr or so...and not this year yet. btw...steve does a super job

I know how you feel and sorry to hear that. I also talked to xiaohan82 before you bought his Comand. He reply my email in a daily basis also when I asked him questions about the Comand that he was selling. But, I ended up bought my Comand from somewhere else.

I wish your Comand would turn out fine. But $600 for repair, I think its too much for me. I would buy a used one with good condition instead. Just my 2 cents.

yes your right..$600 is way way more than what i want to spend.
there are a few cheaper ways to get this command screen scratches fix... http://www.ocplasmascreenrepair.com/price-list/

also a few polishes they sell that claims to fix it on ebay

Yeah, the Comand that I bought is in good condition. It shows no signs of wear or scratch too. That's why I said $600 for repair is too much. The Comand I bought is USA version and can play MP3 in DVD-R disc too.

This guy you bought it from said it was mint? You got took and i hope he does the right thing and refund your money or something on this unit.
Looks like he cleaned the screen with a Brillo pad.

yes unfortunately...the guy considered this as mint...

you know i now question everything hes been saying about it...

1. as you can see...its not mint
2. looking at the back of the command..i now question if this came out of a 2006 cls
3. i also question the "everything works" part too...will know the answer to that shortly

im pretty friendly with my local mercdes dealer...guess buying 2 new cars in 2 yrs will get you that...im gonna take the command to them and let them trace the serial on it...who knows.........

oh btw...the first 2 pics contain the model number and the serial....anyone want to trace it...be my guest

what are ya gonna do...fortunately...i really dont need this command but still rather not loose the money i paid for it. and i agree...i will think twice before i buy anything from classified again. i never got burned on ebay and i certainly never expected to get burn here in a mercedes forum...but i live and learn
