I've thought about doing this as well. Seems a good muffler shop can do it.

I had it on my W210 E55 and loved it! The sound was so mild yet a bit aggressive and perfect on these cars. Do you guys know the size of the exhaust pipes on these W211's? The W210's are 2.5". Thanks...

Why would you do an X-pipe? The stock exhaust system already has a "H" crossover pipe before the secondary cats. There's no reason to have two crossovers in an exhaust system.

I belive they are 2.75. K-55's got a point. If you're trying to eliminate the reso and you have the H-pipe. All you need to do is have a muff shop weld in to staright pipes.

Hmmm, very true. The W210's don't cross over so I see why to do it there but here, you have a point...

So, do we know for sure if having the center resonator and cats removed makes loss of power?

if you guys are in the sacramento area there is a shop called muffler tech. pm me for the directions. they created a custom magnaflow setup for me with the xpipe and took out my resonator. i havent heard a better sounding E500 than mine out there. and the price is great. sometimes i think its too good to be true . i also seen a member on here there and he did something custome there, didnt get a chance to hear it but i know it came out good. they can make anything to do with piping.

For those of us that aren't up north, can you post a sound clip for us??? Also, maybe a pic. or 2 of your Magnaflow set up? Thanks...
