I am not selling a spot in line, as the blood sucking dealership will not allow me to assign the spot/contract to one of my friends

I will be paying for the vehicle, and picking it up, and then I will sell it to the person who is to purchase it.

It would almost seem to me that they wouldn't care as long as they get their money. I would therefore bring someone with me. I find it hard to believe that you will pay for everything, taxes inluded, and then expect another person to pay for those to take the car of your hands. He may then have to pay taxes upon taxes.

What was your down payment? Did your contract say it was not refundable?

There is no down payment, you just put a deposit to order your car, if when your car arrives you don't wan't it, the dealer has a list of customers that will take it, or they'll get someone else to pay way over MSRP.
SL55AMG is just paying for his car, to be able to sell it at a profit.

You better read the previous post where amdeutsch was asking you if your down payment was refundable in your contract.
There is no down payment to order a car. That was my answer.

UPDATE:

Spoke with salesperson (lame), and asked about delivery time. Was told it will arrive at the VPC on February 12.

Looks like delivery will take place during the week of Monday, February 17.
