This has got to be the deal of a century here for ya!!! I've got a set of HRE 547r 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 WITH Yokohama AVS Sport tires (235/35/19 and 265/30/19 respectively). The wheels don't have a scratch on them; they are PERFECT and the tires only have about 2-3 months wear with low milage. That sale was $7,200.00 new. They are coming off of an SLK so they will also fit any C Class, CLK, SLK, C230 Sport Coupe, S class(need bigger tires), E Class(need bigger tires). For an S or E class, I can do just the wheels or put just about any tire you want on there. Also the rear wheels were custom made with a 4" lip. The picture I have attached is of the polished finish, but the actual wheels are of the new brushed aluminum finish. These wheels are VERY RARE. You won't find them anywhere. These are a steal at $5k/obo. Send me a PM or reply here if you are interested.

The question, I'm assuming, was more geared towards how can it have a four inch lip on a 19x9.5 and still fit all these models. I answered that. If it is absolutely necessary to know the exact offset I'll measure it.

On a 9.5" wheel, this equates to a +13, which is IMPOSSIBLE to fit on any non-widebody mercedes except an SL. Also, at that dash level, the cross section is so thin due to the 540R center bowl, the lug nuts would stick out by about 1/2 inch.
3.0" is doable. There is no 3.5" reverse outer. 4.0" won't work.
Please remeasure the lip.

I will take some pictures this weekend with a ruler on the lip. I will even try to take some pictures of them on my car (C230 SportCoupe). Please understand that I'm not making this up or glorifing anything. These are CUSTOM MADE wheels by HRE. I'm selling them for a friend of mine. He called up HRE and told them that he wanted a 4" lip on a set of 547r's with a 9.5" width. They are coming off of an SLK32 AMG. HRE did whatever they had to do to get a 4" lip on this wheel and make it fit this car. They used the exact offset that is required for them to fit this vehicle. I wasn't there at the time he ordered them, but the facts still remain the same. You will not see this wheel anywhere else and it certainly won't be on any diagrams.

all HREs are CUSTOM MADE....the fact that the car is an SLK32 makes it even harder to believe, because you have the large rear caliper to deal with.......
The offset is required to fit this vehicle is between a 30 and a 40. There is no way to get a 4" lip with that type of high offsets. The fitment engineer (there is only one) at HRE has CONFIRMED this information.

Kompman420,
Sorry but looks like the rear outer lips are 3". Regardless, the HRE's are beautiful.

Well I think you guys are thinking in terms of the "exposed lip" which is different than the actual barrel lip. The barrel lip is 4". If you take that minus the width of the face you'll get the exposed lip. This is probably my fault. I'm used to refering to the lip of a wheel in this way because I'm in the industry. I humbly apologize for any confusion in this matter. For this, I'll take the price down and make someone VERY happy.
In any event, these are some of the hottest wheels I've ever seen and would look sweet as hell on any car you put them on. So if you have an SLK, C, CLK, S (Need bigger tires, will sell without current tires or with tires of your choice), or E (Same as the S) get your hands in on these before I get rid of them. You will not be disappointed!!

I'm in the industry as well. I've recently completed a consulting job on a three piece forged wheel, from design (solid modeling and FEM analysis) through manufacture (forging, programming, finish, assembly, and sealing). I believe we see the polished outer lip in similar terms. I've inspected components and completed assemblys (inner and outer lips from the same source as HRE). I've developed a good eye over the years and usually see most sizes without measuring. Your friend's outer lip sure looks smaller than a 4" outer. I hope you don't take offense to posts by me or Peter from WheelExperts. We deal with wheel designs and Peter in particular knows HRE specs and fitments (see his website gallery, it's HRE heaven). But I realize that I am looking at a picture and not seeing it in person. If it is truly a 4" lip, I apologize for my posted comments regarding the outer lip width. Best wishes on your sale.

PS. Just for grins, could you post the pic with the ruler? I think JamE55 and Peter would be interested too. Thanks

I don't take offense at all DC. I understand skepticism completely. I do, however, appreciate your politeness. As my last post states, the "exposed lip" is less than 4", but the actual barrel lip is 4". The gentlman that owns them and ordered them told HRE that he wanted a 4" lip on a set of 547r's 19x9.5 with the offset required to fit his SLK32 AMG. HRE put a 4" barrel lip on and once the face was put on it naturally reduces the size of the "exposed lip" by whatever the width of the face is. I will try to get a picture of the lip with a ruler. Depending on time, I might even try to get two of them mounted on my car this weekend (who knows, I might by them myself at this price.)
Again, I apologize for any and all confusion that I might have caused. Thanks for the comments and LET'S SELL THESE PUPPIES!! The owner is also trying to sell them so they are not going to last long I promise.

is that an slk32? if so, what happened to the front amg/brembo brakes? would the fronts still clear the larger calipers?

Not that I have the $$, but just out of curiosity how much do you want for the wheels only w/o the tires. Who knows, I might win a lottery next week

To get technical, the barrel lip is not included in the measurement of the rim half. If you measure the width of a rim, you measure between the barrel lips. This is the only correct way to measure. I have the some outer pieces here, the rim flange on measures 1/2" at most. If you measure the rim half from the joint over to the inside of the flange, it still measures 3". Either way, it is still a technicality.
At any rate, who cares? It's a great looking set of wheels at a great price, so someone should pick these up. By the looks of it, they would fit on any "small" body mercedes, like C Class, SLK (obviously), CLK, and E Class. Nice finish, too.
KompMan, sorry to crowd up your thread. Good luck selling the wheels.
