Does that mean too much or too little? I am not sure how to take your grammar.

Probably means that he is used to selling replicas and isn't used to see AUTHENTIC Carlsson bumpers for W208s...

Let me try to clear this up

I bought the rear bumper off a friend who purchased the kit back in 2001. He smashed the front bumper, could not replace it with a Carlsson, so he took off the rear bumper and sold it to me.

The bumper is two pieces with Carlsson stamped on it. There is the large bumper and a small piece that screws to the bumper on the bottom.

I was under the impression that were were no Carlsson knock-offs 3 years ago. And the fact that my friend could not replace the front bumper, leads me to believe it is an original Carlsson. He could have easily bought a knock-off in that case.

Was there two different types of Carlsson kits available in 2001?

This is not just an add-on lip, this is a complete bumper.

Thanks.

just because it has carlsson stamped on it doesn't make it authentic. My replica bumper has carlsson stamped on it as well, PLUS it is also fiberglass. I believe authentic Carlsson bumpers are made of PU.

Guys and gals, he is one of the very few in the US to have an authentic Carlsson bumper. I can attest to this.

Thanks,

Ben

not the RS kit - even the real ones are ill-fitting fiberglass :0)

My replica has the numbers and Carlsson logo stamped on it as well lol

well slap my *** and call me sally - that's pretty neat.

Sad that the front bumper is wrecked - one less real one - one more reason to buy replica lol
