I really think I am going to look at a slightly used '21 - '22 C63 and enjoy that for a couple of years. Then decide if I want the CLE AMG 53/63.
There should be enough V8 and RWD fans who do not want the hybrid and AWD. Should still have decent value for a trade....
Hard to tell with the camo but its possible. I thought they were using W206 C63 Mules with widened fenders for the CLE..
Even with the camo the rear track is clearly not wider and no flared fenders in the rear. The front looks widened, so just like what they do on sedans it looks like. Front gets a slightly wider track and fender flares, but the rear stays the same.

Yeah, I like the exterior look of it. Very similar to the C63 actually, so not a big departure, but having spent quite a bit of time with these new all touchscreen interiors, I just can't get over the loss of the purpose built cockpit ergonomics of the C205. I was so super distracted the entire time I drove the recent W206 loaner as every little adjustment took my eyes off the road. Add on top of that my lack of enthusiasm for the E Performance powertrain and the weight that comes from it, I don't see this car in my future. I will try to keep my 2019 C63S as long as I can. Thankfully, I drive less than 5000 miles a year these days, so it should last a while.

Even for a Pre - Facelifted old 2017 C300 . . . with it's mere 241 HP, 7 Speeds, MB-Tex, and that Mini Tablet Thing that doesn't do too much . . . . All in all . . . .
Not all that too radically different in the grand scheme of things to the uneducated ~ non - MB Expert ~ Motoring down the road . . .
They kept all the Good and tweaked it . . .

Probably, I mean not impossible because MB did partner with Nissan at one point, Infiniti being Nissan's premium brand might share design cues with MB or the other way around, the partnership involves with the GLA and the Infiniti equivalent SUV for example. The C118 CLA also looks a lot like the Q60 front and back (specifically talking about headlight and taillight graphics), although that could be one company copying others instead of any sort of partnership (story for another time though).
As for the vehicle being longer, was it because so it has better room in the back or they did it so it is closer to an E?

not a bad idea to keep your car, I am hoping there is a non E Performance six cylinder version based on the M256 or something. Perhaps the CLE 53 (if that is what it ends up being called) is just a W206 C 43 without the E Performance drive train but with the new engine with new engine code based on the M256 instead of the M139l? not denying the M139 is a great engine but would like the smoothness of the M256 or similar.

Yup, better to experience the V8 while it is still possible. That said though, hopefully V8 is here for a while still.

Missed opportunity I would say unless they have a black series planned or special edition, they didn't do that to the rear track on the C 63 S E Performance why would they not do it as well on the CLE is beyond me.

Lack of physical knobs for HVAC is also a no-go for me.
Unless I remembered it incorrectly, if you are referring to the C238, I thought that does have rear windows that rolled down as it had no b-pillar.
I do agree with the lack of physical knobs but I guess I will see myself (or force myself) to get use to it.
I do very much like the CLE and it is a high contender for my next vehicle. Which is something rare to me, most other cars on the market and various new models from MB that got released had to "grow on me" and actually most of those never actually "grew on me" even when I saw it in person, matter of fact a lot of which when I saw it in person I hate it more, unlike the past when I see cars revealed I am like wow.
This CLE seems to have brought back those vibes, we will see, eager to see it in person.
I don't know about you but automotive design is so boring and disappointing for way too long.

nice, so we also get Routines? I wonder if digital key will also be an option then, do you think MB will update existing MBUX 2.0 cars to MBUX 3.0 or was it that there was noticeable hardware differences? If I remembered correctly, someone on the forums here stated that BMW is updating their cars' iDrive system from older to newer via OTA (assuming no hardware differences allowing that to happen).
What I am more interested is that the W223's MBUX 2.0 getting upgraded to MBUX 3.0 or maybe not possible and have to go through facelift for it to get it?
