It’s definitely a quiet starter. When I test drove one, even the starter motor itself was quiet.Originally Posted by sdk2424

My previous car, BMW M440xi convertible, made some serious noise when first starting the car and while driving. This new car makes no noise on startup and i can hardly hear anything while driving. I did not get the fake noise extra, as I didn't"t think I needed it since the BMW didn't have it and had a great engine sound.
Your BMW definitely made more noise on startup because BMW (and Porsche) like to open up the exhaust valves and goose the rpm’s a bit on startup. The AMG CLE 53 I drove, which was stone cold when I started it, basically seemed to start “at idle” with no drama.

Thanks for your reply. That's exactly how it starts up. But, Having no noise when changing gears while driving, is a bit disappointing!Originally Posted by runbuh

Does the CLE 53 have the “Emotion Start” feature from other AMG cars? If you hold the left shift paddle and press the start button, the engine starts at higher RPM and the exhaust is open. It’s much more aggressive than a normal start.

Arrived at the dealership just now. I'll be picking it up mid week since I'm on a business trip for a few days.Originally Posted by Mayur999
Thats great news. Were they able to provide you with any tracking info or tell you if its on the train or truck as of yet? Worth checking that Hansens site when you know its been loaded onto transport. Hopefully it still works.

I'm not interested in the fake cabin sound inside but I definitely want it if it sounds better on the outside.
The feature didn’t get installed on yours. It wasn’t on mine. It should be installed in all 2024’s. It’s a standard option if dealers were to order 2024 cle53’s. However they are charging $550 on stickers for units that have the option. Originally Posted by is250

This option is also confusing on the 2025 order guide where it shows as a standard option and also lists it separately as an option.I'm not interested in the fake cabin sound inside but I definitely want it if it sounds better on the outside.
Fake sound or not, it sounds a lot better with it.
wondering if service depts can add this option to the vehicle.

Yeah I don't have it on my car. "It sounds a lot better with it" - are you talking about from the exterior or interior? I would only care if it sounds better from the exterior. I have no need for fake interior sound. Originally Posted by jj24

339 is the amplified exhaust sound for the interior sound, it wouldn’t make it sound better from the outside…Originally Posted by is250

The exhaust note from the outside only gets a little deeper when you switch it to S+
Comfort/S the exhaust sound is non existent
the car is not loud at all no matter what lol

2024 vs. 2025, for me it's the wheel option (that I would have chosen differently) since everything else, options included seems to line up the same, give or take cost included and such.
I love this coupe and hopefully the quality and long term use proofs excellent.
Cheers y'all,
David

My CLE 53 was ordered first week of July. It was built August 26th. It’s still a 2024 model year.

My car has arrived at the VPC. The status record shows “Local Option Change” at the VPC. Does anyone know what that could mean?
I ordered my 2025 as a 2025 on 7/30/24. I called the dealer today and I have a 11/11/24 build date. He still has no MSRP yet on the system. He said he has about 3 more 2024's on order still to come in and then 4 2025's after that.
Not sure, but when I ordered my Jaguar F type years ago it was held up after it got off the ship for a few days. The dealer said that sometimes they do that if they have to do an update to the vehicle (software, etc.).
