CLE53 built - it's still a 2024 model
My build date was originally 7/16 (put a deposit down on 6/14) but just got to find out the car was built on 7/11 and is now at the port of departure from Germany. It is a 2024 model. So this dispels the information from others who said these cars would now be 2025.
I have the VIN number and it's not showing any part shortage or alteration like the missing augmented reality another member posted about. I'm in NJ so the car will be coming through the Baltimore port.

Do you know if they are still taking orders for model year 2024 CLE 53’s? The MBUSA online configurator is still for MY 2024. I wonder if you could actually order a 2025. My order is for a 2024 that is scheduled to be built at the end of August. I hope someone can post a 2025 dealer order guide.

All the dealers I reached out to (including where I ordered from) said until the 2025 order guide is released, there is no definitive information for 2025s. .

My 25 order is currently in nowhere land as my dealer’s gm who handled everything for me just transferred stores. The SA assured me per the gm before he left my 24 order was switched to a 25 by MB about two weeks ago as 24 production was ceasing, but now I don’t know what to believe. They also cited the recent system issues causing my order to vanish but I don’t know how that would apply to factory ordering.
On another note, my dealer (N Cali) has quite a few new SL’s and GT’s that have remained unsold.

No, they lost the order. I received a call from the SA today and also spoke with the new GM. 25 DOG's are still not out and he is reaching out to his rep for the latest info which I'll post here. So it looks lie I/m starting from scratch but i wanted a 25 in the event the leases suck and I have to pay cash. I re-sent them the build based on the '24 config and we'll see what changes are due for '25 soon I'm told. I also sent them a build for a 25 GLS based on the '24 config, so in limbo for new vehicles in the household for now.

I just got an updated build sheet for my car. Code 339 - Switchable engine sound (which I'm assuming is performance exhaust?) was initially listed as a standard option when I placed the order on 6/14. Now that my car is built, it's not listed at all nor does it come up as a $550 option like I've seen for other cars. This option is also confusing on the 2025 order guide where it shows as a standard option and also lists it separately as an option.
I'm not interested in the fake cabin sound inside but I definitely want it if it sounds better on the outside.

My CLE 53 was scheduled to be built on 8/23/2024. The build date was recently changed to 8/28/2024. It looks like everything is locked in. It is still listed as a 2024 model year.

I assume some of you have ordered a vehicle and curious about expected delivery to the USA ports (Baltimore in my situation).
I came across information on how to confirm that your car is loaded on a ship and ETA:
1. Obtain from dealer your VIN
2. Go to the following website http://www.2wglobal.com/
3. Click on Track and Trace icon
4. Enter VIN in Cargo ID field and click on Track to determine date vehicle was loaded on ship and ETA
5. Go to Vesselfinder.com to see location on map

I called my advisor today and he said it's still at the VPC. So I'm fairly sure they have a tracking system that they use. In terms of delivery, even if it were on a truck today, it will still take at least a week most likely.

For my old car back in 2018, once the car was at VPC and ready to be transported to VPC and dealer I was able to track using the site below. It allows tracking for vehicle on truck for sure and I believe also rail. I am not sure if MB has moved away from using this company however.

Thats great news. Were they able to provide you with any tracking info or tell you if its on the train or truck as of yet? Worth checking that Hansens site when you know its been loaded onto transport. Hopefully it still works.

I picked up my car yesterday. Loving it already. The only thing that I expected more of is the engine sound. My previous car, BMW M440xi convertible, made some serious noise when first starting the car and while driving. This new car makes no noise on startup and i can hardly hear anything while driving. I did not get the fake noise extra, as I didn't"t think I needed it since the BMW didn't have it and had a great engine sound.
