There were no repairs made and it stopped clicking?

 

we call this "break in clicking" 😂 another Benz "feature"

 

My car is back in the shop today for the clicking, I’ll keep all posted on results. Any helpful information is greatly appreciated.

 

Hmmmmm....... Is it speed dependent or temperature or humidity? You said it was gone and now it is back all of the sudden?

I have the noise too when going into reverse. Just a thought, the noise may be coming from the Parking Brake releasing. I believe that this is an electric brake activated by a solenoid. I've heard a similar noise from an electric golf cart when the rear brake un-locks. The noise could just be the solenoid rapidly "un-clamping". So, it could be a "Brake Clicking" feature.

 

Have you had your vehicle serviced for this issue?

 

Not yet. I'll have them check it the next time I'm at the dealership. But I'm pretty sure it's not serious.

 

Hi 2 weeks later 1000 km more still no clicking anymore . And weather was volatile recently from 30 celcius to 5 celcius in the nights , still no clicking. I hope it stays that way.

I found this video, seems to be the issue we’re having. I’ve forwarded it to my service technician, they’re going to see if this fixes the issue. I will keep all updated.

 

I have the same exact issue only when going in reverse annd hitting gas, sometimes don’t even need to hit the gas. Electric brake disengaging kind of makes sense… Also at really lows speeds to a dead stop the front brakes squeal like crazy. I actually have a whole list of issues…

Loud click noise when hitting gas in reverse

Brakes squeak very badly at low speeds

Easy entry exit feature for seats keeps shutting off

Ambient light on drivers side door ****ed up

Keyless go decides not to work several times a week

Routine icon on MBUX is missing

 

Interesting, after all that is a completely different vehicle.
