Strange clicking noise from back of CLE53

I have the noise too when going into reverse. Just a thought, the noise may be coming from the Parking Brake releasing. I believe that this is an electric brake activated by a solenoid. I've heard a similar noise from an electric golf cart when the rear brake un-locks. The noise could just be the solenoid rapidly "un-clamping". So, it could be a "Brake Clicking" feature.

Have you had your vehicle serviced for this issue?

Hi 2 weeks later 1000 km more still no clicking anymore . And weather was volatile recently from 30 celcius to 5 celcius in the nights , still no clicking. I hope it stays that way.

2022 Mercedes C43 AMG coupe
I have the same exact issue only when going in reverse annd hitting gas, sometimes don’t even need to hit the gas. Electric brake disengaging kind of makes sense… Also at really lows speeds to a dead stop the front brakes squeal like crazy. I actually have a whole list of issues…
Loud click noise when hitting gas in reverse

I found this video, seems to be the issue we’re having. I’ve forwarded it to my service technician, they’re going to see if this fixes the issue. I will keep all updated.

They are not carbon ceramics (I wish!), just the standard steel CLE 53 brakes. I don’t think there is even an option for carbon ceramic on the CLE 53. But yeah I have heard the same about CC’s and squeaking.
These are the reasons Ive been hesitate to purchase a Mercedes, I keep hearing horror stories lately on their quality. In regards to your brake squeal, are they carbon ceramic brake pads by chance? On my new M3 they squeak pretty bad at low speeds, it even states in the manual they will squeak due to the carbon ceramic pads. I did replace my oem pads with EBC reds and the squeaking has gone away.

I picked my vehicle up on October 7th 2024 from Keyes Mercedes to take it to Encino Mercedes Benz to see if the clicking could be fixed there. When I picked up the vehicle from Keyes I didn’t hear the clicking so I didn’t take it to Encino, I haven’t heard the clicking since. No repairs were made.

Issues fixed?
Took my car in about two weeks ago for all of the issues I listed previously. Picked it up on Thursday, and so far, all issues appear to have been fixed. The easy entry/exit issue with the seat hasn’t shut off on me again (at least not yet). Said they had to do a software update on 11 different “modules”. The clicking also seems to be fixed, said it was something in the rear axel that needed to be lubricated. Only time will tell if the issues are really fixed, especially all the software related issues, as those were intermittent. I’ll report back if any of the issues pop back up again.

This morning it decided not to work again (touch handle, door doesn’t open no matter what I do, have to press unlock in the keyfob, then it will work again).

Clicking sound
Hey man so glad to hear that your clicking noise has gone. I have the exact same issue, bought the car new about a month and a half ago (1000km) and it’s currently sitting at dealer with this issue. Any info on any repairs that they did would be super helpful.
