Recommended Oils for M256M only 0w20 ?
Hi ,
I`m old fashioned guy , who believes 0w20 is a ****ing water not oil . I`d like to use 0w40 , or 5w30 but in owners manual i can find only 229.71/72 which seems to be 0w20 .
Can you guys from US / Canada check if you have other oils than 0w20 recommended in your owners manual ? I`m from Europe which thinks it can save the planet with retarded regulations.

229.51 aka 5W-30 is approved but read the footnotes and it says it is not. Typical MB.
If the car is in warranty use 0W-20. If it’s out of warranty do whatever you want. If it was mine I would use 5W-30 after warranty expiration.
