Limited AMG 53 cabriolet upholstery choices

Limited AMG 53 cabriolet upholstery choices
There are 8 upholstery choices for the AMG 53 coupe. The convertible only has 3 choices - Black MB-tex, Black leather, and Macchiato Beige leather. Any thoughts on why they would so severely limit choices on the cabriolet? I confirmed with my dealer that they are not on constraint, the other choices are just not offered.

I understand. I just find it an interesting business decision that out of the 6 CLE 300, CLE 450 and AMG 53 coupe and cabriolet models, the only one with very limited upholstery choices is the most expensive model - the AMG 53 cabriolet. Even if it has to do with the special sun reflective coating on the cabriolet leather, it should be impacting the other cabriolet models as well. It matters to me because I am getting ready to order one and don't want black, but will very reluctantly order Macchiato and hope to limit the dye transfer issues I keep reading about. I spoke to a service advisor at length about the issues they see with the dye transfer. I am hoping that they expand the choices before my order is locked in for production.

I spoke to two more dealerships over the weekend and called MB HQ in Georgia. None had additional detail but one showed me a DOG print that identifies Napa Leather possibly bring available in December. The upholstery page says “Delayed”, the revisions page says “Nappa Leather Upholsteries (801, 804) not available for ordering until December 2024 for series models”.
