24 CLE 450 Cabriolet rattle

We took our CLE down to Charlotte and back from Cleveland and noticed a consistent annoying rattle. Took it into the dealer and the shop foreman was able to determine it was the right rear speaker needed new insulating foam around it. That fixed it and we love the car.
I really like the driver assistance stuff on long drives as in lane changes assist, lane keep, adaptive, speed, control, assistance screen in the dash.

Love my CLE 450 cabrio that I picked up a few weeks ago. However, there have been some annoying trim rattles which dampen the experience. I’ve fixed them all myself as I can’t be bothered with the dealership experience.

Rear seat bench rattled over potholes. Solved by wrapping plastic electrical tape around the metal loops that snap into latches and hold the cushion to the car.

Centre console rattled where two pieces of plastic trim came into contact over bumps. Solved by inserting some thin foam insulating tape into the gap.

Tilting MBUX display creaked over bumps. Turned out to be two little rubber feet on the back of the screen vibrating against the dash when the screen was in its normal position. Solved by installing some self adhesive rubber dots (the kind that stop kitchen cupboards from slamming) on the contact point between the screen and the dash.

Honestly I’m not surprised by the MBUX screen. I don’t think that will be a good design decision in the long term, having such a critical system attached to a moving motorised mount.
