I don't have it but I seen it in person, you are talking about night package two right? It is amazing, the MB star stays in chrome though but everything fades in the background at a distance, the badges in the back are also dark chrome, not piano gloss though.

I think you are incorrect. The rear badges (star, CLE53 and AMG) as well as the Turbo badges on the front fender, are in fact "Dark Chrome" but the grill and everything on the front are Gloss Black

I realized this sentence is confusing, I meant the MB star as in the one in the front.
The front facing inserts are dark chrome, the same as the rest of the chrome accents
I'm not so sure it's the same, I think the badges are made of a metal and the grill "inserts" are plastic I think. The grill parts still look different to me. Very close, but still a bit different.
I have night package plus. night package 2. I will say that from a distance the grill looks completely blacked out. I sometimes think just night package 1 would have been adequate but it is a taste thing.

I wish I had the night package 2 with chrome grill inserts. I like the other stuff about Night Package 2 though. Can't do anything about it now. I'll live with it.

It's all a matter of appearance, I chose the dark/dark chrome package because it followed the dark theme lines through.
It also looks good with the window channels, ID tags, grille slats and what have you followed by the same motif.
I could not get the rear diffuser, dark exhausts panel unless I went for the whole dark package (night package plus).
If you notice most people who order their 53AMG (or on lots) are the dark theme, which I did as well to contrast the Moonlight White Metallic.
Otherwise with silver/chrome package, and the light finished wheels would make it one of a few that stay away from the dark theme packages which makes for a nice appearance.
But its all about your preferences, and what you like. One thing is certain, the 53AMG is a real beauty and a performance 2 door coupe.
