I am also debating whether to PPF the car. My M340i is fully PPF'd.
Between window tint and full PPF, I would be looking at $6k.
Maybe I'll just do the Drivers Protection Package. See below.

https://www.naplesautoarmour.com/pai...ra#PPFPackages
I heard those packages are terrible and eventually peel off. It also might change the look of your paint. I wouldn't mess with it

Power assisted trunk does not exist and it never existed on the e-class convertible either. Get over it. It's a beautiful car with a ton of options. If you're worried about a Auto close trunk get an S-class

So many better and special things about this car than an auto trunk. If you're being picky about an auto close trunk, this car isn't for you and I don't know what car would satisfy you

Nothing close to that here. There are very few CLE53 Cabs.

I've had PPF on the BMW since Dec 2022 and it is still perfect.

Remember, the dealership will make their money one way or another. They may discount a new car but screw you over on your trade in. Negotiate your deal for the new car and sell your car separately at this site. You'll get more money and the dealer won't screw you. Trust me, I have purchased 14 mbz vehicles and this is the way to go
GiveMeTheVin.com is worse than the dealer and worse than Carmax cash price.

I wouldn’t buy a dealer package but using a local reputable installer would be excellent. I think you “ heard” wrong.

I would never use the dealer for that. Most of the time, they're just middlemen using an outside firm. BMW did that. They used the same guy I did. I already had an appointment set up with them. I just used the dealer to
tell the PPF installer to squeeze me in sooner since they had much more sway than I did. And they did.

That is absolutely incorrect.

Everything was done ahead of time through pictures. I dropped off the car and got my check for $90,000 in 10 minutes. I wasn't haggled like a dealer would do.. the car also had a minor impact so they didn't device 10% of the value of like CarMax would

Let's see who else has tried these options. Has anyone else tried to sell their car through these avenues? Where did they get the best price from?

Well, for me, their offer was worse than the dealer and Carmax cash price.

Geographic differences play in to the offers. Carmax and other wholesale volume dealers, don't care about how good the condition is, what brand and model the vehicle is AS MUCH AS a dealer would, especially with a luxury brand. Carmax and the others just want to flip a car for some profit. The MB dealer wants to also turn it over, so wants a higher quality trade in, representative of their brand (luxury) and dealership, so will pay more than the turn and burn shops. The MB dealer wants the trade in and wants to sell a new car as well, so there's another incentive to pay more.

The old supply and demand is in play here as well. There might not be a ton of the car you sold to whomever you sold it to up there, in Cali-land where everyone drives a MBZ, so they paid more for it, whereas the dealers might not have been interested. Who knows.

As long as everyone is happy at the end of the transaction, it was a good transaction.

Isn't somebody getting cough@dudley07726 cough, their new CLE53 today? : )

They were fair. The price of the trade in was reduced by $1000 since it’s been since May 23rd when originally priced.
i pulled out a $500 AAA coupon which I had not told them about before and it was accepted. So, in the end, it only cost me $500 more.

what I am more pissed about is that it wasn’t delivered that clean. It should have been in the delivery bay. It wasn’t.
worse is that I could not open the roof. WTF? Didn’t they checking the effing cabriolet roof. It seems to be a latch problem.
so, here I am sitting while they take a latch from another Cabriolet and install it in mine. I should have left an hour ago.
i hope this isn’t an omen of things to come and I made a mistake purchasing another
er MB. Obviously VPC nor the dealer checked the roof. I complained to the GM.

That is pretty weak delivery customer service, for sure. Light them up.

Good deal on the $500 difference being less than the $1K they tried to get out of your trade.

Update:

**** **** ****
Sorry for the rant. I had to get it out of my system.
MB of Delray Beach is trash.
As I mentioned in my previous post, and absolute ****hole of a dealership.
I was there from 8:40 until 3:30 and didn't come home with the car.
I don't think this car was prepped at all at the dealership.
As I said earlier, vehicle was dirty. They delivered it to me outside. First time I was ever delivered a new vehicle that wasn't inside a new car delivery bay.
Plastic was still covering the AMG sills.
Dirt build up on the edges of the PPF that the car comes with. Rocker panels filthy.
I came with my tire pressure gauge because I've learned from experience.
Every tire was near 50 psi. According to the car labeling, it should be 41 front 39 rear.
Didn't they even check it?
Imagine if I drove home at 50 PSI. It would have felt like driving on bricks.
A mentioned earlier, no one (not VPC in Brunswick or the dealer) checked to see if the ****ing convertible roof worked.
How can that be?
By 3:00, I told them I'm not waiting much longer. Give me an UBER home. General Manager asked me to give it to 3:30. They wouldn't give me an Uber home but would give me a loaner.
They were taking a latch of of another cabriolet and switching it with my broken one. By 3:15, they realized that a sensor that had to do with the latch needed to be replaced
and unfortunately, that part couldn't be taken off of the donor car. They have to order that part and said it would be there tomorrow (who knows). I drove home to Naples with such pain in the back of my neck
from this stressful day.

They said they would deliver the car to me and pick up the loaner car. I told them I want no one driving my car but me. They will deliver it on a flatbed.
What a disappointment.
This car better be here this week as I have an appointment to PPF it on June 23rd and this guy is booked for weeks.

I called MB USA and made a complaint and was given a case number.
Stay away from MB of Delray Beach.
I made a complaint to Autonation who owns this **** dealership.
Also gave a terrible review on Dealerater.
I am so sad.

Cancel it and walk.

The experience should be better than the car itself.

Received an update today from the Sales Mgr. The “he” mentioned the the Service manager.“He wants to replace both micro switches instead of just one just to ensure that will be resolved. Best case I am able to call you tomorrow and tell you it is on a truck to you! We are waiting on the second micro switch to be delivered from Mercedes we are anticipating it to be delivered to us tomorrow.”

It is unbelievable how they tried to deliver this vehicle. I think it came off the truck, parked, and then delivered to me. I don’t think it even went into the service department to check. I remember on my last MB, I was given a checklist that the tech went through to make sure the car was perfect. Not here.
i am thinking that because I think the cars are shipped with high tire pressure so they don’t develop flat spots on the journey. They just left it like that.

I’m giving them until Monday.

I'm guessing, with zero ground experience, they barely got the car before you arrived, the salesman pushed the process too fast, and the PPI didn't get done in a timely manner or communication was dropped somewhere. Instead of being patient and asking you to come over the weekend or next week, he wanted to get the sale and push it out the door. Lame tactic if you ask me.

Hopefully things go smoothly and you hit the ground running.

I’ll keep you updated. Was told today part will arrive Monday and I guess should be getting the car delivered via flatbed on Tuesday.
i told salesman that I expect the car to be flawless. I told him it is to be washed by hand, not their automatic car wash and not to soap the convertible top.
His text to me below this morning:
“I definitely will make sure the car is as near perfect as possible. Bob told me yesterday. The microchip won’t be in until Monday. He’s off today. I’ll speak to you Monday. Give you an update.”

Well, it looks like the repair is done. I have been tracking the car on the app. Dealer asked me if they could deliver it tomorrow as they want to clean it up and make it perfect.
I said okay but early,.
He then asked me to do him a favor. I asked him what did he want.
He wants me to give him a good review when I get the survey.
Can you believe that?
After the debacle of a delivery (that you can read about below), he wants a good review. I asked him what if we were reversed?
Do you think I deserve a good review if I delivered the car as terrible as you did? He said Please, do me a favor.
The *****!

What would you do?

Repeat the story exactly as it happened in the review. That's a good review, it is honest and transparent and not full of BS or lies. That, by definition, is a good review.

Did they go above and beyond? Just hit the missed mark, 3 days later?

That's what I would do. You are under zero obligation to lie on a review anywhere about the sales dude or the dealership itself. They KNOW how to act and there is always the looming possibility that a client will tell the truth and tell the story exactly as it happened on social media or with MBZ. This is nothing new.

It's here and in perfect condition. Beautiful car. Monday , it will receive a full PPF.
Wife loves her new car. ****, I have no idea how to use anything in this car. I thought the DAP was supposed to keep me in the lane like my BMW does. It doesn't. How do I turn this on? Manual sucks
