Checking build status and shipping query

How do you check the build status and shipping update of your car? I was able to do that for my BMW.
I could see build status and then track the boat it was on.

2025 Mercedes Benz AMG CLE 53 Cabriolet - CLE53A4 - A236 - M256M
I had to contact the dealer to have them look up the build date and provide me with the cargo ship’s name.

Can only look it up through NETSTAR but it doesn't show the entire process, MB doesn't really let you track it other than tell you what vessel it is sadly.

According to dealer, the vessel PATRIOT is schedule to arrive in Brunswick, GA on June 1st.
According to the tracking site, it's scheduled to arrive first in Baltimore on May 30.
Officially placed a deposit this morning. Car was on hold for me.
I am trading in the 2018 E400 Coupe towards it.
Was offered a very good price for the trade-in, of course subject to inspection. Car is mint with 32100 miles.

My fear is that they are going to change it on me by the time the car gets to the dealer around June 10th.
I'll be pissed since I'm driving to East Coast of Florida for it.
Don't want to drive there for nothing.
Time will tell.

Beautiful spec, I personally won't get the CLE over this but obviously you decided the CLE is better for you and your needs so I do wish everything goes smooth for you.

Wanted to go back to a convertible. I already have a M340i so a 4 series wasn’t going to work for me. Wanted something different. There are many choices for convertibles these days. The Lexus LC500 which I would want for reliability reasons is too much money for me ($115k).

Oh that explains the decision. The C238 was such an awesome (perfect) vehicle though. It is hard to beat, that said, the CLE has its pros of course I think you will like it.

I always felt the car I have now is of better quality than the CLE. Definitely.
I like having newer technology like Drivers Assistance which I first experienced with the M340i.It really helped me on long drives.
I drove both the M340i and the E400 to Sarasota. I was much more tired after the drive using the MB. I had to concentrate much more, especially before the sun rose.
With the BMW, it did most of the concentration for me. I wasn’t as tired.
Unfortunately, the E400 doesn’t have it.

Interesting, a 3 series competes with the C-Class and the 40i is a sporty one too, bmw is meant to be a sporty brand to begin with as their slogan was the ultimate driving machine, I was surprised to hear an E-Class is more tiring when MB is about luxury and comfort over a C-Class competitor, the 3 series.

Either way, hope the CLE is an improvement in that regards for you, you had a chance to test drive one right although probably not for hours.

Oh wait after reading your message carefully again, you mentioned you don't have DISTRONIC? does the vehicle have air body control equipped or dynamic ride control? Does it have massaging seats?

The main discomfort is the concentration right? Which seat do you like more?

I have not sat in one that had the Napa leather that mine has. I really didn’t notice a difference between the seats in my E400 and the CLE.
I’m not that young anymore (65 1/2) and the more aids I have to help me the better. The E400 has the Premium 2 package but none of the driving aids I would like other than parking aid.
Seating is not the issue for me.
There is a big difference between the seating in my M340i and E400 coupe but yet they are both comfortable for me.

I see, I understand now, you need the driving aids not a more comfortable seat.

My only concern is on my trade in. I know they are going to try and hit me on the trade in value since it's been since 5/23 that he wrote the order up
that he was paying me the amount we agreed upon based upon inspection. The car is mint. Even the engine bay is super clean. It has 35,100 miles.
They're the ones delaying the deal since the car isn't here yet.
So I am expecting a fight. I also have a $500 AAA discount that I didn't use when I spoke with him. Found it afterwards and its good until July 27th.
.

Isn't the appraised value good for a month or very least half a month?

I am sure things will be fine. Expect some small changes for "dings, scrapes" and things they will try and find and make a big deal out of, but hold your ground.

The $500 AAA discount won't be a big deal as that is a back door agreement with AAA and MBUSA, which the dealer, nor you, can control. I did the USAA dealio like that, last month for $4,500, when I bought our vehicle. The dealer (shady as all hell, it turns out) didn't bat an eye, which I was prepared to do battle with over that. I think you'll be fine.

No dings or scratches. believe me, there is nothing to deduct based on the shape of the car, only age.

Just received text from Dealer. Vehicle is now in process at the port in Brunswick, Ga..
He thinks it should be at the dealer later next week or the week after.
Moving quickly considering vessel just arrived around 6 pm yesterday.
Hopefully, next week.
Getting excited.

That is exciting. May I ask which dealer? Not that it is a big deal, I am just curious. Kiddo lives over in FLL and has been sniffing a MB vehicle so have been helping with some recon on dealers.
