Is the starter 12V battery a Li-Ion or "normal" AGM old school battery? Does anyone know?
I had the battery tender hooked up and I think the tender itself bricked. It was the AGM tender versus the Li-Ion one I had. That said, the tender manufacturer honored their 5 year warranty and sent me a new one. I have yet to plug it back on to the vehicle, but it got me thinking about the actual battery. The tender worked like a champ when I did use it, so I am guessing AGM battery.

AGM. Just get CTEK, the manufacturer of the MB branded ones.Originally Posted by PHXATC

I have a Battery Tender Plus charger that I use on all my cars. It is 1.25-amp but I see that the MB unit is 5-amp. Will my 1.25-amp Battery Tender work on the MB? I use these on all my winter stored cars so it will be on for 6-7 months.
I don't see why it wouldn't work. Tender "status" is better than "charging" status though if you're leaving it for 6ish months.
