On the base 2025 AMG CLE 53 Cab steering wheel what are the two materials/fabrics used to cover the wheel? And which type is the perforated material?

I want to research appropriate cleaning products.

I don't have the base steering wheel, but the performance wheel has Nappa and microfiber. I assume the base steering wheel is microfiber and MB-tex. In any event it is best to not apply harsh cleaners. Best to use just a microfiber cloth moistened with water with maybe a drop of dishwashing fluid.

 

Do you know if the perforated section on yours is microfiber or Napa leather?

 

My build sheet says “L6J AMG Performance Steering Wheel in Nappa Leather” I assume that means it’s all Nappa leather. It’s a 2024 Coupe though. Maybe the Cab is different.

 

On my coupe I have the standard steering wheel and when I selected Napa for the seats the wheel came with smooth and perforated Napa. I would assume based on the Cabriolet steering wheel picture in the configurator the base wheel would be smooth and perforated MB-Tex.

 

The performance wheel is not the same as the base wheel. And no, it's not all Nappa leather.
