Update 3.2.1
I have a 2024 CLE 300 Cabriolet. (1200 mi). Yesterday we drove the car after it sat for 1 week. Went to dinner and came out - car started but NO MBUX system at all. Dark center screen, no HUD, car drove, but all was funky. MB had NO IDEA what was wrong. Got home and parked it. Could not get the system to reboot. I figured we were visiting the dealer. I looked on the app and saw the update was going to be huge. When I came out this Am update was done and all worked. MB says this is supposed to be in the BACKGROUND. No way. It will shut your system down. Very upsetting.
I didn’t get MBUX 3.2.1. The first update for me was 3.2.2. My car is set to notify me when updates are available, not to install automatically. This way I can choose when to do the update. I did my update with the car running so I could monitor progress. MBUX 3.2.2 installed successfully with no issues. It took 10 minutes to download and 55 minutes to install. You do have to be patient. Several times it looked like the install percentage was hung up with no movement, but it did move, just slowly. Throughout the process MBUX was operational.

Thanks so much for the info. I'm going to change my settings to manually install - great idea! The update completed overnight and when I started in the am the update was loaded and installed and everything worked normally. Any idea of what changed with the update?
I haven’t found any changes. Probably because the version that came from the factory was updated earlier by the dealer and this update was probably not much different than what was already installed.

I just got prompted for update 3.2.2 on my drive to work this morning

I never got a single notification from my app or vehicle that my car was due for an update. I had brought it in because I noticed the audio source option in the gauge cluster hasn’t always properly displayed what’s playing on CarPlay (shows playing audio source instead). The update ended up taking around 5 hours while I sat at the dealership. It didn’t end up fixing this issue but apparently it helps fix other bugs as well. Not entirely sure the update version but would recommend planning other things to do while this takes place if you take it to a dealer.
