Yup. I’m on E333.8-58. Installed at dealer. Was told it was required. And no Apple Music or online music anymore.
However, Tidal now play’s Dolby Atmos when it didn’t before so that’s a decent trade off.
Hi - I’m using the Tidal app, where does it state tracks are playing in Atmos? The Apple Music app did and was much more powerful with rich features and functionality.
SA called me today to find out why Amazon Music was not showing up in my Apps. According to him after speaking with higher ups, music services like that are no longer available in my car.

Why? It makes no sense. Why would they all of a sudden remove all the music apps without some kind of notice. It's still listed as one of the Digital Extras, that we pay for.
What a pain to read these types of issues. The CLE is beautiful. Ill be shopping for a car in the next year or two and Im really wary of tech forward cars since I like to keep them awhile, and buy used. I liken this to waking up one morning and the wheels are not on my car because Mercedes didnt do it right the first time and they will send me some new wheels, or not I really hope the aftermarket can rebound to maintain these vehicles much longer than the manufacturers intend.

Here's the link that's in that email: https://link.amap-prod.mobilesdk.mer...tion?finOrVin=
ON YOUR PHONE, Cut-n-paste that link, Enter your VIN at the end, hit enter. It should bring up your Mercedes app, then click "Linked Accounts"

Amazon Music is still listed as linked for me but doesn't show in the car.

Here is the message I received when I checked on the MB Store through the MB App on my phone. Now, I know why I cannot access Amazon Music to play Atmos.
It's not available for my car.
I just had my MBUX updated in conjunction with my E450 first 10k service. Indeed, the Apple Music streaming icon is no longer available nor can the dealer and I figure out a way to re-subscribe to Apple Music. Atmos does not play on Apple CarPlay due to bluetooth limitations. The update re-installed the missing Car Wash function that was removed in an earlier update. That is good news. I wish Apple Music were again available as a subscription service like before, since I listen to Classical and Atmos is a nice feature for this.

I still have the E270 version and I still have Apple Music and Online Music available. I don't plan on seeing the dealer until my first service in November so I should be good until then, however, I don't want the Apple Music to go away so I guess I should tell them not to update the software?
What is the Car Wash Function, I don't think I have that?
So, I took my car in for Service A and was told they had to also update the MBUX software. Allt good. Then I noticed that Apple Music disappeared from MBUX. It’s not even an option to download. Other devices are there like Tidal and Spotify.
My issue is that with Apple Music I was able to listen to music in Dolby Atmos and it sounded great. This update seemed to be regressive to sound quality of audio system.
MB customer support seems to believe that Apple Music is no longer a part of digital extras. If that’s true that’s a huge disappointment.
I’m taking back to dealer Wednesday as they are gonna look into it. But has anyone else experienced losing Apple Music after this latest update?
_________
Indeed, the latest computer update removes any way to access Apple Music Streaming. And, no, Car Play is not a substitute for Atmos available with Apple Music Streaming due to bandwidth restrictions. The MB data you will need for all other internet functionality, updates, etc. I believe but the MB app designated "Apple Music" is no longer available. I phoned MB customer service today to complain that I continue to pay for the streaming service and that it is no longer available. The service rep is clueless as to why it was discontinued and confirmed this feature is currently not available. I suspect Apple, MB are arguing about licensing issues in Europe and possibly the USA and hope it gets worked out.
I’ve heard back from Mercedes that the recent software update disabled Apple Music. An updated version should soon be available from the Mercedes store.

It went to the same unknown location that my Warning Tones did. Disappearing into thin air. Should be 2 functions Volume and Tone Pitch.
Looks like Music Apps will be coming back.
I was able to find Amazon Music under Store/Apps.
But when I try to install, it asks me to pay $150 for the order of MB Connect.
I should already have it.
Dealer will help me straighten this out.
With this I should be able to enjoy true ATMOS music.
I think some of this may be unrelated to the Apple Music app in the MBUX system. Also suspect dealer won’t be able to help but hope I am wrong - will be great if it is back!

This rumor that Apple Music native app will be returning in a future update (WHEN?????), what is the source for this? Did that come directly from MB? I am extremely frustrated that MBUX 3.3 removed the Apple Music app without fully warning us that would happen. Had I known Apple Music would be removed I would NEVER have updated. Apple Music is the only service I subscribe to because I am knee deep in their eco-system across many different devices and enjoy the convenience and consistency of my music library and playlists synching across products. It was already ridiculous that you had to use the often unstable MBUX Apple Music native app if you wanted to enjoy the full Dolby Atmos 4D surround sound that you paid for in your options packages. All of this headache could be avoided if the MB engineering team would just work with Apple to upgrade the sound quality on CarPlay (now that Apple CarPlay is capable of transmitting in Dolby Atmos). But now I have nothing: no Dolby Atmos in CarPlay and no Apple Music native app workaround to get playback in Dolby Atmos. Called MB and they were clueless and unhelpful and just transferred me to my dealership service department. Dealer was unaware of the software update, unaware of the removal of Apple Music app, unaware of whether and when it would be restored, and unaware of an interim solution. Scheduled an appointment and they will "attempt" to re-install the old MBUX 3.2.2, but based on my own research I don't hold out any hope that will be successful.
Does anyone on here have any concrete info on the following:
1) Is there any way to get the Apple Music with Dolby Atmos playback restored in MBUX version 3.3?
2) If not, is there a firm commitment by MB to restore this app in a future release, and if so, when is it coming (firm date, not just "sometime in 2025" which is quickly ending)?
3) Has anyone experienced or confirmed that a dealership successfully restored an older software version for the MBUX system?
I am truly gutted by this move by MB as this was my single most valued feature in the vehicle, being my only true Dolby Atmos speaker set up. And yes, I am an audiophile and this is probably a much higher priority for me than for many other customers.
I feel exactly the same! Frustration and disappointment.
I even left a message in the app developer (in AppStore), but nothing...
Do you have any news on this subject?
Thanks in advance
Unfortunately I have no additional info. It seems MB has the intention of bringing the standalone app back based on what they told my dealer when I took the car in to have the issue explored. But no timing has been released or announced and that was back in Nov or Dec so it has been a while.
I did notice that Apple Music with Dolby Atmos was included in the rollout of the new S Class, but that car uses a different operating system so it doesn’t mean much other than Apple and MB have continued working together.
In my initial research I had read that Apple does not support Apple Music compatibility with Android Auto OS (which this latest MBUX update moved to). But then recently it was announced they developed an Atmos capable app for GM (Cadillac I believe). So things appear to be happening, just not yet for us! 😡
I purchased a CPO 2024 EQS 680 a few weeks ago and was curious about Dolby Atoms as a musician. After reading this thread, I clicked on Media and Online Music and Apple Music was an option. I did a 30 day free trial and selected a few songs to play. When playing a song it says Dolby Atmos next to Apple Music (as opposed to Spotify next to Apple Car Play for the same song). Quality noticeably better. Curious if others are able to get Apple Music native now, assuming what I’m hearing is native.
Can you confirm which MBUX version you are using? It is possible that it hasn’t been updated to the one that stripped away Apple Music native app. I believe it was version 3.3 that removed it but I could be misremembering the number. The last one that supported it was 3.2.2.

The software version is RL_NTG7_E330.602_23063AC3
I would expect this is up to date as I purchased it recently from a Mercedes dealership…but I’ve been wrong before…
Something was updated in the car while I was driving. I did not notice what. I didn't have my glasses on.
I parked the car and did what I needed to do. I assume it updated then.
