4matic inop

My 2026 CLE 53 with 300 miles is showing a “4matic inop” message in the instrument panel. I drove the car as recently as yesterday and it was fine. From what I can find it sounds like a software issue. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what was the fix?

Update - I just went out and started it again and the message is gone. We’ll see what happens.

Curious if there is a hidden stored code of the event, do you want to notify your SA and scan it remotely?

I’m embarrassed to admit this but I suspect I know what might have caused it. I don’t drive it much and spent some time detailing it today with doors open etc. and think I ran the 12 volt battery down. I got a message from the MB app that the 12 volt battery was low so I went and drove the car a little and everything went back to normal. I’ve ordered a battery tender to make sure this doesn’t happen again. If it does I’ll contact the dealer.

Gotcha, no worries, glad it is all good, enjoy the car.

Detailing the car is nothing to be embarrassed about! That's some MBZ love right there.
