CLE300 or CLE450?
I’m looking to lease a car, specifically a CLE300 or CLE450. Could someone share their experience and opinions on what they like and dislike about these cars? Also, what options are must-haves?
I really love the way they look, but I’m not sure if I should get the 4cylinders or the 6cylinders.
Additionally, has anyone seen a good monthly lease deal for either of these models? I’m trying to get an idea of what people are paying. I’m located in CA, so I’ll check dealerships around the state, but I don’t mind looking nationwide if it helps.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
The 450 will be better engine of course, but if cost is a factor I would get the 300 with the 2 packages mentioned as opposed to the 450 without them. My 2 cents.
I personally purchased a CLE 53 with both packages.

My opinion is for an E-Class, it needs to have at least six cylinder due to its class but also its weight. Obviously the CLE is more on the C side but it is a pretty heavy vehicle despite no high voltage battery, it does have the 48V mild hybrid system.
The CLE 450 is rapid and got lots of torque, effortless passing safely on the highway or getting out of a dangerous situation safely.
The four cylinder is still capable but will work at higher rpms to get the job done. Depending on the driving situation, a six cylinder can be more efficient than a hard working four cylinder.
For those who care, six cylinder also sounds better, it is more smooth and less vibration since they are inherently balanced.
The con is it won't corner as well as a four cylinder because of the weight in the front.

The CLE 300 would have been fast 20 years ago.
It should be fine around town and up to 55 mph.
The fuel cost significantly lower.
So is prepaid maintenance.
The CLE 450 will be faster and quieter on the highway.
It will also like the mountains better.
The CLE 53 has more low end power.
It also sticks like glue.
It is worth your time to sit with the configurator and
run equivalent configuratons to see the actual price difference between models.
If you are old, you may want the fancy headlights and the driver assistance package.

The drivers assistance package can be configured to be not very intrusive.
When its a nice day, I don't trigger it.
On rainy or snowy night it is sometimes helpful.
