Hi, am owner of a brand new CLE 300.
I've been driving it consistently in 'C' mode and not revving the engine until it's 1000 mile break-n period.
Am close to 1000 mile marker now
I am generally a 'mellow' driver, but would like to occasionally get some kick - say when passing someone (on different lane of course), or off a stop-light/sign.
I have not yet tried sports mode or paddle shifter. Any advice from folks?
Can I move from Comfort into Sports mode (when driving) for above purpose and then revert back?
Or better option is to stay in Comfort and just use paddle shifters as needed?
Other thoughts?
btw, I do turn OFF 'eco-mode' when on a stop and need that xtra oomph !
Thx much!

You can switch between comfort and sport at any time without any damage to car.
If you are just looking for some quick acceleration to enter a highway or to pass someone I would just hold down (press toward you) the right paddle and the transmission will go down to the lowest gear allowed.
Disclaimer - i know the above works on an AMG transmission not sure about non-AMG but I think it will.

My suggestion is to drive in Comfort then switch to Sport+ or whatever the highest mode you have and see/feel the difference. On the AMG version Sport+ or Race mode changes the shift points and holds the rpm's longer when you let off the gas. This in addition to firming up the suspension and changing the exhaust sound. I use Comfort and Race. I usually warm the car up in C then switch to Race unless I really just want to take a leisurely drive. The difference is night and day.
Push the skinny pedal. Smile. Enjoy!
