Careful @ the Carwash
The flip-open tabs for the bike rack are surprisingly fragile. Be careful going through mechanical car washes. Since I never plan on mounting anything to the roof, I ended up putting a small dab of super glue gel on mine to keep them permanently shut.

My car had less than 100 miles on it, went through a brand-new car wash one time, and one of the tabs already broke off.

Anyone else run into this?

I did. Super glue is your friend. Who ever thought that someone would want to put a roof rack on a sport coupe?

Are you flipping them open and dropping a dab of glue there or gluing the seam?

Flip open and a spot of glue where it latches.

Good fix because with a bit of acetone it is reversible.
