Trunk taking long time to open???
Let's say I come down in the morning to go to work and want to throw my laptop bag in the trunk... Pressing the trunk button on my key or using the inside button opens the trunk, but it takes between 5-10 seconds to actually open from the time I press one of the buttons... Even pressing the trunk keyhole in doesnt cause it to open, you have to give it a few seconds..
If the car is running for a few minutes, it opens usually right away... If I get home after a 15 min drive, it pops open instantly no matter what method I use to open...
This is repeatable and happens everytime I leave the car off for a while... Battery is brand new and I have no other power issues...
Wondering if anyone else experiences this and what the issue might be... Some bad wiring maybe??
Dealer didnt notice anything, they WD40'd the lock but I don't think its mechanical...

wow thats crazy... how can I tell and where might it possibly leak from???
And as I remember many of the models have a vacum pump in the trunk that provide vacum. correct me if I am wrong
My guess it is not a vacum leak., the vacum hose that run to the trunk may be bend or being pressed by something.

im fine with that its the annoying delay when i leave the car off for a while... if i knew where to look I might be able to see what's causing the leak, assuming thats the problem..

The question is whether your trunk "unlocks" slowly and then opens, or unlocks normally, but just "raises" slowly.
The fact that your trunk opens quickly right after you've driven, but slowly after you had it park strongly suggests that you have a vaccuum leak. If you doors unlock slowly, too, after you've parked for a while, then the leak is in the main part of the system. Could be the resevoir, the valves or the tubing. If your doors still unlock quickly, even after you've parked, then the leak is someplace between the distribution center and trunk lock mechanism. I believe the piping runs down the left side of the trunk lid.
Get out your body panel removal tool and a spray bottle of soapy water and go leak hunting. It will make bubbles where the leak is. Try all the valves and actuators first. They're the easiest to check and the most likely to leak.
