Has anyone tried to remove their aftermarket chrome headlight rings? Mine have been on for the past 3 years are beginning to wear. I'd like to remove them, but I'm afraid that the super sticky foam tape that was used to affix them will be hard to take off the black rubber ring on which the chrome rings are attached.

Anyone try this? Is it easy to remove the residual tape/glue?

A 3M brand adhesive remover. Always read the label to be safe. Your rings are usuallt mounted on the plastic of the headlight anyways, not the rubber surround. I use a rubber/vinyl conditioner on all rubber gaskets,trim,etc to keep those materials vitalized and keep from drying out and keep a deep, rich color. good luck.......Tg
