What are the potential hazzards with regard to engine damage?
Any clues anyone?
There's no free lunch....but I've always heard stuff like "you can put in Nitrous...but you'll only get a few uses out of it before you blow out your engine".

In my 96 Impala SS I was adding 150 hp (it was really 164 hp by the dyno, and the car had a total of 494 hp at the flywheel), on an internally stock engine (Lt1, cast iron), but I always used it "carefully" and with the right stuff to add, in two years I didn't brake neither the engine nor the transmission, and I was running 12.6 quarter mile times
I knew the engine was going to pay the price for adding so much HP from 2500 rpm to 5500 rpm, I was using about 30 lbs of NOS a month, and I'm sure this is true for any car running NOS.
My point is just because you run NOS in your car, it doesn't mean that your engine is going to brake, but you have to install it right and not go the cheap way about it.
NOS kit, assuming the kit has safety switches and bottle warmer
Ignition Amp
Window Switch
Engine retard
93 octane
non platinum spark plugs
hope this helps

Anyway this is just an obsevation and I might be wrong.
Also, I would think the engine runs a little warmer than 90 when doing 160.
Actually, it runs pretty damn cool. So much air going through the engine compartment keeps it at regular temps. My needle skyrockets when I'm sitting in traffic, but always comes way down when I'm flying on the freeway (yes, even over 150MPH which I've done a few times).
It's true, from 0-80 mph and 110+ mph the dashed line is curved, BUT from 80-110 mph the line is straight.
And the angle of the center circle indeed does not look like it's from the right angle...look at the other center dial circles in the picture.
eh... i barely know how to use a computer... sorry... i guess if you look at it long enough you can make the clock look crooked... keep in mind the speedometer has a piece of glass/plastic infront of it thats curved... i never took optical physics either but i know light has a tendancy to bend? maybe thats it =) well next time I drive to the keys ill post another one... damn ... the reason i posted it so big was so there would be no one to say " oh thats edited"... but i guess you can't please everyone =)
ITS FAKE.... FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE FAKE!!!!!!!

im going to have my gf sit in the back seat and take it. my camera is too big to hold and drive that fast. the weather in miami now is pritty bad (its been raining HARD for like 3-4 days). rest assured next opportunity i get there will be a new post. =)
Beside's, if the man said that he did, then he did!!!! Let it rest already.
Juice, you've got nothing to prove to anyone. We all know that a modified CLK can go even further than the 160. The mistake you made was showing the picture in the first place!! Also, when I go down to the Keys this weekend, the last thing I want to see is a wrecked Blk/Blk 430 on the 1 mile bridge!!! Peace !!
BTW, even if it is fake, I'd rather fake that picture, than to go to a MB dealership and take a picture of a car that I don't own and claim it as mine (NO PUN INTENDED)
Next thread please!!!!!!!

I don't seem to get the problem here??!!!!! Other members claimed that they have reached 150 - 155 mph before. Juice's speedometer (fake or not) is recording 158mph plus or minus. That's only 3 mph more than others. It's not impossible to reach that speed if you've done mod's like he has--N2O's???!!! Hello!!!!

fake or not who cares!!!!!!!!!!
just njoy your car
You are absolutely right, nobody should have anything to prove to anyone else on here. Doing 3 times the legal speed limit just to prove a point to an Internet message board is just plain silly.
The fact of the matter is, if you are driving a CLK, you are driving a fast, luxury car that most people have never experienced. Enjoy your cars!
