Dual Exhaust for W208

Has anyone seen this or knows of a dual exhaust with comperable quality? This is from Evosport. A lot of loot (3K), but it's sweet !!!
How many CLKers out there would be interested to help drive the cost down on this exhaust? Let me know... I plan to call them back on Friday 5/6/05.

They tell me if you have a CLK430 that comes with the AMG rear bumper you only have to cut out the right side for the tip.... or you can get the DTM bumper like in the pics.
I'm hoping that if there is some interest shown by us CLKers they might drop the price by 1K <------(wishful thinking).

Maybe it's just me, but this...

doesn't look nearly as nice or as well executed as the Inden. I guess I also dont like the fact that the tailpipes seem a bit too close together. But still coo. Yeah, I can think of better things to do with 3 grand too...

I actually saw this around my house in Tustin on 4/18/05. I was able to get a picture of it on my camera phone. It looked good.

i always wondered how they did that with the spare tire well in the way. honestly that setup looks pretty ghetto to me. it is not even a real dual exhaust

Two tips out of one side - that's the look for CLKs. Makes it look like the car's rollin' down the street with a fat cigar stuffed in the side of it's mouth blowin smoke out into the faces of all posers.

Tour tips/two sides look bad a** on E-55's though.

Slightly different because the chip muffer is a 1 piece design where as the evosport one is a 2 muffler design.

Neither one is a true dual exhaust. Has anyone seen a true dual exhaust on the clk?

Yes, someone had it custom made but he had to get rid of his spare tire and cut into the spare tire well to make room for it. Way more trouble than it's worth IMNTBHO

Im not really feeling it, the other exhaust tip looks like it would be barely functional, think of how badly that would flow with two 90deg turns right next to eachother! (90 deg down, then 90deg from down to horizontal again). It seems so cosmetic that you might as well just fix a non-functioning exhaust tip under the right side, it would probably function better because im guessing that this is an anti-performance mod. I dont see how it could be an improvement over stock with half the flow restricted like that.

Agreed. A proper dual exit exhaust (i.e. one that splits into a "Y" about halfway down the car) would be nice. Anything esle is just cheating, and those right angles must seriously impede the gas flow. When it's cold you'd probably get a load of steam out of the left and none out the right!

FWIW, here's a pic of the back of my 'other' car...

I don't think the AMG bumper will work, those pipes are to close together.
