next project: wrapping the headliner in suede myself

hey guys me and fazooley (2006 cls500) were going to have our headliners redone in suede/alcantara but after some research and looking around we decided that we are going to try to do it ourselves.

we have the WIS program along with instructions on how to properly remove the headliner so that shouldnt be a problem. were gonna buy a roll of suede/headliner and give it a shot.

has anyone here removed their headliner themselves? any tips, tricks or anything to be aware of? airbags?

i think the sunroof and visors we will prob have to bring to an upholstery shop because i think those pieces will need to be sewn.

ill keep everyone updated and take lots of pics.

What type of adhesive are you going to be using? I have tried to do the same thing with my civic that I still have, and the strongest adhesive that I was able to get, sucked. Less than a year later, the headliner started to fall off. If you have ever seen a professional re-uphholster anything, the adhesive they use is crazy. They actually use a spray gun similar to the one for painting to apply the adhesive, and then use a very hot dryer to help with the adhesion. Just wanted to make sure you knew this before you attemped anything. However, I hope that your project comes out better than mine did.
