I am getting the Mercedes WIS from a friend of mine at a benz dealer. I am going to do a DIY that involves ripping apart the headliner/hat deck and dynamat everything. I've been lucky not having squeaks from the seat but the back of the car, headliner and rear hat deck are annoying the f*ck out of me.

Hopefully the WIS has the info I need to do this and I can make my car ride like new again.

My windows dont really squeak when i drive, but they do squeak when i lower the windows and the tint seems to have little vertical cuts in it (?) i imagine re-tinting will be necessary sometime in the future, at which time i will replace the weather stripping which seems to have hardened a bit (which is probably the source of the squeaking).

I'm having the same exact problems when I roll them up or down (driver side) not when I'm driving or anything. I also have my windows tinted and they do leave little scratches on the passenger side like it's rubbing on something, I have warranty on my tint and they are going to redo it tomorrow we'll see how that goes.

It is the window seal. Take off the doorpanel and just cover the seal with some felt. Thats what I did immediately after I got them tinted, and almost 2 years later I have no scratches I got the felt at homedepot and cut it to size with a razor and it has adhesive and just sticks nicely to the seal. The seal is like sandpaper and scratches that ****.

Any pics/write up of how you did it? I want to get this out of the way as I didn't make it to the tint shop this morning I can work on this ASAP before they work on my tints.

the wedge tool thats shown in the second scan (mb part #115 589 03 59 00) works great. you can get it from your dealer and i think its around $6 and makes it so much easier to pop those clips without breaking them
