Electric seats failing (Yet another fault)
Just posted this on W208, this maybe common to another Benz:
Just wondering if anybody suffered from their electric seats failing?
I just tilted my passenger seat forward to let someone into the rear and the base didn’t return to its original position.
The seat rake works but the forward\back position is locked into position.
If I press the button to move it back I can hear a 'click' which sounds like the relay activating, so I guess power is getting to it.
Any ideas?? Help!!!
Quite disheartening add this to the door strap failing, electric window fault, intermittent parktronic and the occasional ESP fault. Welcome to Mercedes Ownership I guess!

had ur seats being played with by the people who sat in ur car? cause when ever i drive people they start playing with it and i get pissed offf cause if it breaks it'll cost lots of $$$ to repair....
Yup, exact same symptoms on my driver's seat, it is stuck in place for me only. An independent shop said the rails need to be replaced as they are mangled from the teeth digging in. Cost ~ $1000.
Apparently it is pretty common; initially I thought it was only my car b/c I'm quite large and put some serious weight on my seat, but it appears otherwise. It truly is bunch of crap that MB can't build a seat that will last. If anyone finds a more reasonable solution, please post!
