C32 AMG
Well, if someone else was paying ... Easy answer!

But since money would be an issue, I would have to choke back a sob and get the CLK. Life is tough sometimes.

I went through the same procedure vis-a-vis E55 and C32

The price difference will buy you a CLK320. Should we consider that in our selection?

CL500 obsolete?

That's an interesting question you pose, CLK500 vs. CL500. I think with the new SL500 and the new CLK500 coming out, the CL500 may become obsolete. If you want the look of the CL, you could spend half the dolalrs and get a CLK. If you've gotta drive around in a $100,000 car, I think I'd choose the SL500 w/retractable hardtop over the CL500 no question.

Until M-B adds a back seat to the SL, the CL will not be obsolete. Also, in terms production volume, the CL is MUCH more exclusive than the SL. It's this reason that AMG is going to build a limited production CL55 cabrio (soft top with current CL55 engine) and sell it for $150K+. Even though the CL55 will be alot more expensive, have alot less power, and a soft top, there will be a bunch of people that will choose the CL55 cabrio over the SL55.

2001 CLK
cabrio CL? the roof on the hardtop CL is absolutely gorgeous. I've seen cabrio CL's in the Dupont Registry magazines, but they were converted from hardtop versions. Looked terrible. But there are plenty of rapstars and sports players that are waiting in line for them.

if you have the $$$, definately go for the CL. SL is nice also, but I'd take the CL over any MB.

2002 CLK 55 AMG Coupe ;)
Black opal CL500. Just looked at one today @ Autohaus, Pompano for msrp of $93,000.

Last year, when I wanted one, they wanted $15,000 for add ons to the msrp.

Today, I am enjoying the best car ever: 2002 CLK55 AMG. What a joy!

R129 SL55 AMG & W208 CLK55 AMG
somehow i'm not too sure about the origin of the CL!!

I have a strong feeling that during the design and manufacturing of the CL, there must have been a few BOEING engineers around.

Daaaamn... that car isnt a car... its an aircraft! What a ****pit!!

Sitting in a friends CL55 and cruising at an average speed of 160 mph..... it felt goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!!!

i literally got a hard on!!!
