Real Bad day in CLK Land

I was doing some banking errands this morning, when I smell smoke coming from under my car. I check under the car, and tranny fluid is dripping onthe exhaust pipe. Soon, the tranny starts jerking, slipping, not engaging gear.. etc.

Had it flatbedded today. I'm so mad. This car which I am supposed to enjoy has become a moenypit and an annoyance in my life.

Turns out it was the main seal of the transmission that blew. Few hundred dollars in labor assuming the transmission isnt shot to hell.

Turns out the transmission might be gone too. The transmission shop is going to open it up tomorrow and see what the deal is. If not I have a line on a rebuilt tranny for around 2K with financing so maybe ill end up keeping it.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. I think I finally found a buyer for mine but dont know if I should sell it to him since I know he doesnt appreciate the car. He just wants a "chic magnet"

I'm in the same situation. Put it this way. The guy who wants my car drive a Lexus. His hood was scratch, so he painted 1/2 the hood with touch-up paint and a large brush. Since I'm in no hurry to sell, he's not getting my car.

Sorry to hijack the thread.

Anyway, best of luck on the tranny man. I would think that since it's new, there is some sort of service warrenty??

Ok so some sort of oil pump brokein the tranny and we are trying to fix that before attempting to replace the transmission. Hopefully I'll save some money.

Everything is fixed. No need for a replacement tranny, just some parts. For some reason its even smoother than before

still blew a good amount of money getting this one fixed, but still several hundred dollars cheaper than a new one would have been.
