CLK Vs COPS experience.....anyone?
I started this thread because i wanna know how many CLK owers got pull over by cops and ticketed......because of the SPEED......When i strated driving my CLK i have been pull over more than 7 times now.....Because of the following...
NORMAL SPEEDING <---------------Below 80km/h
EXCESSIVE SPEEDING <------------ABOVE 120 km/h
Tinted Windows<----------- ???
Possession with an illega Firearm.... <----just kidding....
My total spending for all the tickets are about $2000 CAD dollars...which's about $1500 US am i the only person who got ticketed so much?
:p
P.S I LOVE VALENTINE ONE but sometimes.......if you are the head car on the highway..........still ........i got caught

I got pulled over because a motorcyclist reported that a group of MB's were racing (was with friends in the bay area).
But he couldn't prove anything so he gave me a ticket for no front plate and an outdated address on my DL.
The (5'0") punk was punk enough to check if I changed anything in the back (exhaust) and looked through the grill to see if I had an open filter...idiot.

I've gotten all my tickets on LA city streets.
1) 70 in a 35, but I was actually going 80
.
2) 45+ in a 35, got hunted down by the sheriff and told he was gonna arrest me, impound my car, and take away my license
.
3) 3 window tint tickets- 2 were roughly $60 each, and one is a fix-it ticket which is due July 11th
. Apparently it's a state law now that NO window tint of any kind can be on the front windows.

i've gotten two speeding ticks in my clk.
1) 50mph in a 35mph. <--- bullsh*t. everyone drives that fast on this street.
2) 100+ on the freeway. <------ thank god the cop was cool, cuz when he pulled me over, i asked him to write the tick for 90 and he did!

In the middle of nowhere...
I deliberately took a back road to try out my just broken in CLK55. There were no cars in my lane for 30 minutes, and two pick-ups going the other way. Going into a slight turn without perfect visibility I let up to drop from 140 mph down to about 110, and a cop in a Jeep appeared ahead of me, oncoming.
My radar detector was on, even though that state suposedly only buy instant-on units. When it went off I just pulled over and waited for the officer to come back. He was really pretty good about things, writing me up for 80 in a 70 so my insurance rating would not be effected. My first speeding ticket in 12 years too.

My last ticket in '93 was received while driving my first Corvette.
The officer wrote into the COMMENT Section:
"Ran red light - while airborne through intersection!"
How is that for a poetic license?

i got pulled over 3 times with my ex-CLK430, 2 in boston I90, 1 in NYC I95, fines were $240, $259 and $90, I remember that one boston cop said " u have a right car, but u are on the wrong road", pretty funny:o

Got pulled over in my 430 for doing 84 in a 70 but only because I hit the brakes and dropped down from 95 when I saw him.
The problem was, I just got an Escort 8500 the day before I quickly returned it and got a V1. I know I got hit by instant-on and it wasn't the 8500s fault but good gosh, the day after getting it??!! I took defensive driving to drop the ticket.
I think that in Texas, if you're caught going 25mph or more over the speed limit, they can arrest you?

on the other hand i got all kinds of tickets inmy ml

btw i gott go to traffic school soon gotta ticket for impeading the traffic on sunset how lame

No tix yet in the CLK.
I got a 143mph in a 45mph zone a few years back when racing a Cobra. He didn't get a ticket because he was too far back and the cop turned around before he got over the ridge. I was still in 4th gear at the time. Ferrari Mondial with Henessey mods.

Got pulled over twice last year for burnouts (it's really entertaining if you haven't tried it). Warnings both times.
Most recently I was late for a tee-time and blew by an undercover detective in a Dodge Intrepid on the interstate at about 90-95. I guess he felt he had to pull me over. He checked license and registration but I knew I was ok when he laughed and said I think I just saved you a ticket. About a mile ahead of us was a speed trap. But he was real cool about it, said you got a nice car but you're driving way too fast. The best thing, he said before I let you go do me a favor and when you pull off I want you to gun it to get up to speed fast (I pulled over on the left shoulder). So I said sure officer. As I passed the speed trap cops with a redlined V8 they were just looking at me like WTF!

I have gotten pulled over 5 times, all for speeding. I had the car for about 13 months now. Only got one ticket, It's a good thing when your godfather is chief of police
