So... any word on whether this is a possible design for the E coupe?

It is meant to be an E Class Coupe.

The article was from a German Magazine.

It will only come with V6 & V8 engines.

It is meant to fit in place where the last CLK 208 was and therefore the CLK 209 may go down a notch, to may room for this.

Will come in 2004 supposidly

(Note this is just an article, hope it is true), but time will tell.

that's not likely to happen, since the design of the new CLK is still taken from the E-class. also the engine line up follow exactly as the E-class. although CLK is based on the C platform it's in the market as a replacement for the original E-coupe that was way to expensive to build.

YUCK! seriously.. It looks like an Australian Ford. Look up Ford Falcon in www.yahoo.com.au and you'll see what i mean. Looks are uncanny! (except for lights at front)

If they come out with a CLE cab it will be my next car. Maybe this is the reason they didn't put E style headlights on the new CLK.
