carlson replica bumper

I have a 98 CLK320. Anyone know where I can get the JUST the front replica carlson front bumper at a decent price? I already have AMG side skirts, I just want the front bumper? Where could I get one that would not cost me out the *ss to have put on? Any input on websites, prices, and pics of anyones clk that got one would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Getting JUST the front bumper for a decent price can be had from MANY venues... however, you then come into the daunting task of paying up the a$$ to mod & fit the bumper...

ask anyone who's installed a replica kit, and they'll tell you

Prepping the front bumper only will take about $1k of body work.

they can.. but if they can make them and make the well.. then it won't be cheap anymore... they are more concerned with quantity rather than quality...

I dont agree with that...I can sell with the same price as right now on my website with good quality materials.
with good quality of material then we can do quantity..

I believe in business when the quality is good then the customers will get more and more...

I know that labour is very expensive in USA but cant help it buddy. You guys staying there for living not holiday..dunno why on earth most of the bodyshop in USA always complaining aftermarkets bodykits???fittment problem?or they are very lazy to spent their time to modify it?

maybe I need to open a bodyshop overthere huh?hahahaha
well if you guys dont want any trouble installing bodykits then I suggest dont go modifying cars!hahaha

ok, maybe you are the exception... but most of the replicas available locally & on ebay are usually pretty poor fitment...

Felix, you should definitely open up a shop in Cali...

The materials might be better quality than his first gen kits (one of which is on my car), but he says himself that it's going to be expensive to fit because of our body shop prices, and that we shouldn't modify cars if we didn't want trouble with body kits.

Danny - wasn't your Lorinser kit a simple bolt up?

When I had a mustang, my Saleen kit required maybe two hours of prep work at most.

Well made kits do not require tons of prep work, that's why they're more money.

CLK 230 Kompressor
Hi, Has anyone actaully purchased a Replica Carlsson kit from Euro-Passion?
with his new GFRP material? Also, how was the fitment? I spoke to Felix and said it is very flexable and is about 80% fitment?.. Can anyone verify this?

Thanks, Dan

I actually purchased the new bumper with the GPFRP. It's basically fiberglass with another layer of something in the middle. The fit is a lot better, but bodyshop really had no trouble putting the bumper on. No cutting or major bondo was nessasary. The sides were a little off though, but other than that it was a breeze to put on. The only downfall is that the parts are really thin, and not as thick as the older generation parts.

Hi SICRX65, thanks for your answer.. Im looking at buying from Felix and wanted to know if they are good asI dont want to have to have the bodyshop raoe me on the fitting and modding of the kit.. Also, what is "Bondo", I dont' know too much about panelwork. I had a Nissan Z32 TT, and fitted a Veilside Replica kit to it myself no problem, but have heard horror stories with regards to Mercedes Replica Kits and wanted to be sure. Thanks in Advance.. Dan
